MSU Hate Week - Time to step up our game.

Submitted by Grampy on October 28th, 2020 at 6:41 AM

It's Wednesday of MSU week, it looks like we'll actually get the game in, and we have barely disrespekted little brother.  Of the last 25 posts to the board, only two address the troglodytes or their coaching staff, and I know we can do better than this. At least half the posts on RCMB are about the game or the failure of their new coach (my favorite is the post speculating the More will be coming back a'la Bill Snyder). Let's start with a handful of quotes:

Come out of the tunnel fired up and mad dog harbs. Dont say anything. Dont even acknowlege that prick.

Normally it’s a crappy G5 team that initiates Michigan’s next great heisman candidate. This year it’s gonna be us....

I actually think this will not be quite as bad as people fear. We're all overreacting to Week 1. Remember 2016? When they were supposed to beat us by 50? It was much closer than people thought.

UofM isn't college football's biggest joke for the first week since the early 2000s and the Wal Mart Walverines are already beating their chests all over the internet

F UM. Take it to them. Smack them in the mouth. A few late hits and roughing the passer calls. You know- what MSU did to devin gardner and denard robinson.

MSU’s mission: knock out Milton by half time.

I hate to admit that I have many Sparty friends (and coworkers) but not a single one has said a word about last weekend or this coming weekend.  Besides someone telling me to “cheer up man, your team won last Saturday” (I’m a manager so I can get crabby occasionally) there hasn’t been a single peep!  For someone who normally does not engage in the smack talk, I find this really refreshing.  I always view RCMB as the extremist but maybe they are the ones saying what everyone is thinking???  If that’s true, I hope we blow them out Rutger 2016 style!

they lost to Rutgers.  At home (COVID variance acknowledged). By 2 scores  We beat a respectable team soundly.  On the road.

Of course they aren't chirping out of their pie holes.  Let's hope that we win by as much or more than people are projecting.  Because then you'll be free from their garbage for another year.

Obviously the 7 turnovers played a large factor, but I can't help but think the reason they lost is because they overlooked Rutgers and spent 95% of their practice time preparing for Michigan.

This year is going to be a 1 game season for them.   I hope Michigan plays great and still stomps all over a fired up State team.

In my Royal Oak neighborhood (Northwood), U of M houses are vastly outnumbered by MSU houses.

As I've walked my dog around the neighborhood I've noticed an extreme absence of MSU flags. Last year this time they were everywhere. This year I can barely find one or two. Hell even the guy who has had one hanging from his porch every day for the last 10 years has taken his down.

Too bad they still have their Spartan license plates, we know who you all are. :-)

The last one, about knocking out Joe Milton, I could believe they would try given their culture.

Michigan's goal should be to be up by 30 at the half & have everyone play in the 3rd & 4th quarters.

Even if this means us hanging less than 60 on little brother, it will be worth it. Wisconsin is showing us that having experienced back-ups in 2020 is likely more important than extending the game time for starters.

This year, try as I might, I can't hate MSU.  I pity them.

And not the "ya hate to see it" pity.  It's full on Bilbo Baggins thinking he should just stab Gollum and get it over with but stopping because, despite the whole "tried to murder him" thing, Gollum was just. So. Pathetic.

Sparty fans are comparable to waste water treatment residue.  The worst.  (Buckeye fan says, "Hold my beer.") I have been so restrained with the fanbase around me.  I'd love nothing more than a Rutgers beatdown and will show no sympathy.  This is the byproduct of their inability to rise to the moment and act like they have been there, even when they hadn't.  Classless douchebags, as a mass. The next few years will be such sweet karma.  Saturday will be glorious.

This year little brother is coming into the game on crutches and with a head injury.  Not quite as fun beating up on your little brother when he’s all fucked up, but I’ll take a comfortable win nonetheless.

I'd still have fun.

Weren't those guys having the time of their lives when they had to face RichRod's 128th ranked defenses?  Or when they had to go against Brady Hoke's offensive lines, who couldn't block for a middle school football team?  It did not make one damn difference to them.  They were ten levels past delirious with joy during and after every game.

So fuck those guys.  Fuck everything about them.  Run up the score.  Do not take your foot off the gas.  Destroy them.  I promise I will still enjoy and love it even though some may think it's "not as fun."  Fuck MSU.

+1K^ I want ruthless destruction with no opportunities for horse shit cheap shots against any of our guys and especially Joe because he will be either:

1. following a stampede of maize and blue into the end zone.

2. Effortlessly throwing darts as if it were a 7 on 7 drill.

3. On the sideline watching ALL of his teammates, down to the last walk-on, taking his opportunity add to the pile of points, sacks, forced fumbles, pick-6’s ect.

Since you got a shout-out in Spencer Hall's most recent article, we're going to need you to step up your game and start living up to your username.

"MSU’s mission: knock out Milton by half time."

Given who recruited and "developed" those young men for a few years, this wouldn't surprise me at all.

I hate you.

I hate you.

I don’t even know you, but I hate your guts.

I hope all the bad things in life happen to you, and nobody else but you.

Big brothers don’t waste time hating the little brother. Instead, they know exactly what to say to tease him and get him to completely flip out. It’s much more satisfying and fun.

I mean, the amount of garment-rending that Michigan State fans did after their game against Rutgers almost provides enough fuel for this thread in itself. The person highlighted on "Roll Bama Roll" as describing their short-term forecast a "like JLS, but more pathetic" got a chuckle out of me anyway...

Being a non-native Michigander, I am not a "hater" in these regards. I grew to prefer the U of M for positive reasons. The lack of character of Spartan icons, Dantonio and Izzo, saddens and disappoints me.

Saturday, I want to see Michigan come out and calmly, without any fanfare, just pound the Spartans' pompous asses into the turf. Here, there is no margin of victory that is too great.

What game plan do you think msu comes with?  I could see them running a lot to start the game and try to manage the clock to limit possessions.

Of course, if they get behind late, they would be forced to throw more in the second half.

I watched both Rutgers MSU and Michigan Minnesota.   I was not very impressed by the MSU offensive and defensive lines, but Lombardi looks much better at QB than he did last year.
