I'm ok with MSU coming unraveled by the time we play them. That's how it used to be, so I might just get hit with nostalgia.

Think it was Hondo Carpenter from Spartan Nation who asked that.  Best question of the press conference the "elephant in the room".  Only person who thought it was a dumb ass question was Mork.

It’s a reasonable question in theory, but asking it at a press conference is dumbass because no coach is going to make a statement that would essentially throw one of his assistants under the bus. I don’t blame Dantonio refusing to do that in the same way I don’t blame Harbaugh for not throwing Gattis under the bus.

That said, Dantonio should have chosen his words more carefully.

I don’t disagree at all but I think there is something to the kabuki theater of a reporter asking an obvious question like that. D’anantonionio’s offseason titanic deck chair shuffling deserves to be rehashed, especially when he gets bad results. That’s true for any coach that makes strange decisions.

You can say what you want about the guy, but one thing you can't say is he sugar coats things after his team under performs. He's not talking how his team is hitting its stride or performing excellent on offense, blah, blah, blah. He doesn't do a whole lot of deflecting rather he puts accountability on himself, his coaches, and his players. I'd hate to see what he could do if he ever had the talent on his roster that Harbaugh has. Reminds me a lot of when Saban was there with limited resources. I love to see them struggle as much as the next Michigan fan, but sometimes I wish Harbaugh could be a little more forceful of placing accountability on his staff and players.

Ummmm...

The current running backs coach, ids, uh, well...

He has brought in fresh blood because people keep leaving (Durkin, Wheatley, Fisch, Mattison, Washington and probly a few others)

He scapegoated Pep Hamilton and now the offense is turrible.

Im not so sure that is a good argument on Harbaughs behalf.

He likes to blame his players directly and indirectly (the plays were there; they didn’t execute). Harbaugh is never going to sell out his team in a press conference, and I find it funny when people ‘demand’ he do that. He saves it for behind closed doors.

That's was probably the least "dumb ass question" someone could ask, given the circumstances. It is, in fact, a perfectly valid, even necessary question. Sparty fans will use that as "FIRE MORK" fuel, I have no doubt
