Mike Elston: His unit won this game.

Mike Elston is not getting enough credit IMHO. The DL has been the most consistent unit for past 2 years.  Let’s appreciate the job this Michigan man has done.

Penix has the fastest release I’ve ever seen. The fact that we were able to pressure with 4 is incredible, and I hope Hutchinson and Ojabo felt a moment of pride this game

Cannot believe these 2 freaks at DT are true sophomores.  With Benny out I will be curious to read the UFR (in April lol) on how many plays they were in for, but it seemed like ALL of them.

Yes totally.  Our D line completely boa constrictor-ed their Joe Moore winning O line.  They could not run at all.   They had the yips and multiple called and non called false starts.   And finally we rushed 4 and that Penix guy took his beating.  It was a glorious D line season

Yep. The d-line absolutely disrupted Penix and prevented him from ever getting into a rhythm. Without their work, he would have made much better throws. Incredible last couple of games!

Mike Elston you did this.

Kris and Mason and Derrick and Braden and Josiah and Cam and Rayshaun and Jaylen and Kenneth, you did this.

It will be a 2021 Georgia level DL next year. It is funny looking at Bucknuts predicting that Michigan will have a massive step back next year when they still have Graham, Grant, Stewart, Johnson, Moore etc.

Dude is a phenomenal coach. Our D-Line is incredible - deep, balanced, sound, smart, talented.

Player development is our secret sauce, and Elston is the finest developer of talent we have.

What an amazing coaching staff - by far the best in football.

Go Blue! National Champs!!!

Washington’s oline was overrated IMO.  They got away with some blatant holds and the only reason why they looked good this year was because Penix has a very quick release

I said it when it happened and I'll say it again now. Nua was insanely mediocre and it had nothing to do with Don Brown. Elston elevated this defense ten fold. Glad Notre Dame pissed him off and overlooked him.
