Michigan wins the NCAA B-ball Championship scenario poll.
Scenario #1 all the way. It would be one of the best moments in Michigan sports history, especially beating them. Not to mention it would be the third time in a whole season. I imagine a national championship loss to Michigan would be much more painful to MSU than a loss to Bucknell

I think Scenario #1 would lead me to a heart attack. I don't know if I can handle even the thought of losing to Sparty in a national championship. Would much rather have Bucknell win.
They'll have to vacate the entire season when the FBI gets done with them.
Beating them a thrid time would be a joy. We could erect an eternal couch burning flame like the tomb of the unknown soldier.
Face off in the national semi this year?
We've already beaten MSU twice. I'd prefer having the statewide spotlight on us the whole tournament.
I'd rather not see them get that far.
Derp.
Michigan succeeding and Sparty suffering are not remotely substitutes. I have no interest in the latter, unless it is incidental to the former.
what
I keep looking for a pole but I don't see one.
Option 1: Win it all, and have MSU go all the way to the Championship, probably beating Duke, Kansas, and Villanova on the way, and getting Izzo another Final Four under his belt.
OR
Option 2: Win it all, against anyone else, while at the same time, one the top 5 most picked teams to win it in MSU gets upset by a 14 seed at home basically, making it 3 early exits in a row for MSU and Izzo.
Hmmmmm..... I don't think I need much time to decide which is a better option.
MSU isn't getting out of their region. Book it.

I think I'd like to see us beat Duke in the finals. Finally get that monkey off our back.
Obviously it'd be preferrable if all the top-seeds lost early, and Michigan cruised to the championship beating nothing but double-digit seeds, but in the real reality, I wouldn't mind this:
1. Beat Montana
2. Beat Houston
3. Beat UNC
4. Beat Gonzaga or Xavier
5. Beat Virginia or Arizona
6. Beat Duke (no "or" here, I want Duke!)

I did pick both Gonzaga and VA to fall to us before we take down Duke. Think the final was 82 - 77.

more probable in the finals then MSU being in the finals.

I have state losing in the 2nd round on my brackets if you asked.
But honestly if Michigan finds a way to win it all I'll be so hyped I could care less how it went down.
But if you are asking for wishful thinking where I'm not going to be jinxed for saying, then sure, option 1, but Michigan 95 MSU 47, with UM at 48 at the half.

As long as we win the championship, who gives a rats ass what Sparty does ? Why is it that so many people on this board compare us to them ?
It seems like we complain about Sparty for doing the same in Football . Why the inferiority complex ?
I can't post a thread as I am new, but this story needs to be known. If we like it or not.... http://arizonawildcats.com/sports/2013/4/18/208236191.aspx
I am fine with those blasting me for this post, or if someone can make a thread and post this link.... I have not ever seen this talked about and although before our time; It really puts life in perspective.

I take #1 easily. A three-game sweep for the whole season, and the last one is on the biggest stage in the game, in the sport that MSU schools values most. It's their bread and butter, and something to go back to when all else fails. This is also Izzo's (allegedly) most talented team he's ever had, at least two lottery picks, and imagine them all losing three times to a bunch of guys who were virtual nobodies when being recruited out of HS.
It would literally take decades for Sparty fans to get over losing to Michigan in a national title game. All the combined pain and suffering Dantonio has inflicted on Michigan in the last decade would PALE in comparison to what Beilein beating Izzo in a national title game would do. Dantonio could beat Michigan every year until he retires and it would still not fill the hole left in Sparty's heart by losing to Beilein for a national title.
I legitimately believe that East Lansing would erupt into full-scale riots if said situation came to pass. As in the National Guard is called in to keep the peace.

I'd love to see Sparty shit the bed in front of the home crowd in Detroit on Friday night. Then Michigan will finish what they started in 2013 and bring home a National Tittle!!
It's been long enough, Michigan is good enough to do it and there is no coach in America that deserves it more than Mr. John Beilein!
Go Blue!!!
