if we are hot from the three.  However, I feel like the difference will end up being at the point guard spot.  This is the one game where I think Z is going to be outmatched.  Brunson is going to be too physical for him.  I pray he proves me wrong.

M's D takes away the 3 and Mo takes over in a charge fest. He moves quick, sets his feet and takes one after another after another. Nova keeps playing the averages trying to get him called on a block to get him in foul trouble but they end up doing the opposite with Brunson. Mo gets hot on O but stays under 20. Teske trades minutes with him and becomes Kong, gets 3 swats, 6-8 points and 6-8 rebounds. Maar and Matthews get 15 points apiece, Duncan gets into double digits. Still comes down to a couple possessions and M comes out on top after Z goes better than 75% from the line with the side-dribble. 77-74 good guys.

But fuck it, who cares. Beating them will validate the entire tournament performance and tell everyone that said M only beat lower seeded teams to go fuck themselves.

71-66 good guys.

Per my bracket, I'm sticking with the final score between Michigan & Villanova... Michigan wins 79 -69! It'll be a shock to the rest of the world but not to this team and its fans. Go Blue!

The media and pundits seem to think this will be Villanova in a walk.  However, my gut feels differently, here is why:

1) Villanova will not have as many open looks as they did vs. Kansas as Michigan is a far superior defensive team.  They will not go crazy with raining 3s vs Michigan.

2) Michigan is far more athletic and talented than most pundits want to give them credit for.  They can beat you with any number of shooters on any given day.  When their passing is on, they are crisp and hard to defend as they move the ball around like the Russian Five back in Scottys day.

3) Michigan does not quit and is tenacious til the end.

4) MIchigan's conditioning is incredible.  This is the most underlooked aspect of this team...how they are in fantastic shape and usually at game time are the last team standing.

Michigan 68-65

Villanova has been hot the entire tournament. They are due for an off game. If the game is close toward the end I think the pressure gets to them and they melt. If we play our game on both ends we will be fine.

I figure if we can beat MSU twice, Purdue, and the other teams predicted to finish ahead of us, we’re as capable of winning this one as anyone else. The team wants to win, and knows how to win. This is a winnable game. Execute the plays, take decent shots, and Michigan wins. I don’t care by how much. Just win the game.

I predict foul trouble for Villanova and an inability to take enough threes due to M perimeter defense.

I too like it when all the predictions favor the other team.

M Go Blue!

We’re up two at the end, Villanova tries a three and misses. Zavier gets the rebound, splits at the line. Nova gets off a desperation three that banks off the backboard and out. Michigan wins 74-71. Beilein gets the championship he deserves!

In a close one, 72-69. Beilein will outsmart Nova with his game plan and MAAR and Z will return to form. The team's toughness will prevail! Go Blue!

I picked Michigan to win it all in my office bracket.  Sticking with it.  Think this game will play out similar to the last one in the last 5 minutes with us hanging on to preserve the win. Go Blue!
