I have nothing new to contribute, but need to restate what others have said for therapeutic reasons.
Juwan took a top 10 program and drove it into the ground in 5 years. Two years ago we were a bubble team who got fortunate and won a couple games in the tournament. Last year we took a step back and missed the tournament while having two draft picks and an All American on the roster. This is the third straight year of regression, to the point that we are in last place by a wide margin—4 games clear of the second worst team—in a shitty Big Ten. And there is absolutely no hope for a better season next year. There’s not one player that I’m looking forward to seeing next year. Please don’t say Dug or Tarris. Dug is allergic to defense, takes horrible shots, and is way too loose with the ball. Tarris has developed zero offensive game. When he gets the ball in the post, he takes 4-5 seconds to decide what to do, by that time someone comes to double him and he turns it over. There is NO WAY you can bring Juwan back. And this is without mentioning his off court/anger issues.
By the way, I think it’s bullshit that Sam Webb refuses to even bring up basketball with Brian and Seth. He gave Craig like the last 3 minutes of the show last week or the week before to talk basketball, and that’s all I can remember hearing on the roundtable over the last 5-6 weeks. We don’t need to hear 45 minutes of talk about UM’s NIL approach, or discussing assistant football coaches for 4 straight weeks. Let Brian and Seth at least address the nightmare that is Michigan basketball.
What an unbelievably dumb sequence from Dug there. We have last shot, worst case scenario we go to halftime tied. He throws it away, and then commits easily the dumbest foul I’ve ever seen in my life.

That’s true, but it was 4th down, so an incompletion also would have sealed the game. If Mike didn’t exist on that play, the ball would have fallen to the ground (or possibly into Josh Wallace’s hands). It’s not as if Mike jumped in front of the receiver and prevented a completion. Still a fun play, but Will’s play had a much higher degree of difficulty and was more timely/impactful.
Sam Webb will tell you about our amazing recruiting class coming in. But if you have no coaching to develop them or put them in a coherent system, who gives a shit??
That turnover by Terrence Williams was the worst I’ve ever seen. Dribble into the corner, leave your feet to pass, and chuck it across court. You don’t see that at the college level.
Biggest surprising positive: not getting fucked on the Roman Wilson TD. Thought for sure the Big Ten office was making a phone call during that review.
Couldn’t disagree more. Edwards has shown to be a poor short yardage back. He rarely falls forward. He had his shot from the 2 yard line, the O-line got decent push, and he went down on first contact and didn’t fall forward. You want a TD? Then work on driving your legs and fall forward. Harbaugh put the team ahead of the individual. No problem with that.
Lackluster performance, to say the least. However, Georgia trailed at home to South Carolina in the 3rd quarter. #3 FSU escaped with a 2-point win vs BC. And #4 Texas is currently tied with Wyoming at the end of the 3rd.

About 12 years ago, I saw Matthew Stafford and Dominic Raiola at Little River Casino. They had just come from playing golf at Arcadia Bluffs. My brother and I were too embarrassed to ask for an autograph, so my sister-in-law approached them and initiated the conversation. They were cool and patient and signed for us.
I’m currently on vacation in Marquette with my family. First time here. Gorgeous area. Checked out Black Rocks today. Stopped in Munising yesterday on the way up and saw Munising Falls and Pictured Rocks. Munising High School has to have the best view of any high school in the country—right on Lake Superior! Headed to Houghton and the Keweenaw tomorrow. Can’t believe it’s taken me 39 years to come up here!
Can’t be as bad as the ESPN coverage. One of the women hosts said, “From Lansing to the League!” when Jett was drafted. She also said that his dad was drafted 19 years ago (it was 29 years ago).
Manistee Golf & Country Club has 6 holes overlooking Lake Michigan. Twilight rate (after 3pm) of $40 is ridiculously cheap for such a beautiful experience. Not far from Arcadia, maybe this could serve as an appetizer the day before you head to the Bluffs.
Maybe we would be better prepared to handle a couple of injuries if Juwan didn’t insist on recruiting D-II level wing players (T-Will, Glenn, Jace, Tschetter, Barnes). I’m sorry, but none of those guys should be playing high major basketball.
