You either have the maturity of a 16 year old or you're just a fucking asshole. It takes a lot to stand out on an niter net message board as an asshole. If it is the later, you should take some quiet time and evaluate yourself.

This one admittedly struck a nerve.
I'm a Ferris guy, but I credit my Six Sigma Black Belt from UofM with changing my life. See, I was making so little money that I qualified for funding from the No Worker Left Behind program. I was pulling in less than $20k a year & having the University of Michigan on my resume has helped me to get darn near 6 figures.
I may not have the exact memories that some of you have but that doesn't mean that the school hasn't changed my life just as much.
I had terrible ear problems as a child. I was finally referred to UofM after three separate local doctors were totally lost, following three separate failed surgeries. I lost around half of my hearing before that point, but I credit UofM with saving what was left and allowing me to be a functional adult to this day. As a side bonus, the Michigan ENT doctor went to bat for me with Priority Health & was basically the only reason my mom could afford to have the last (mastoidectomy) surgery performed.

I read a lot of sites like Reddit/r/CFB & tigerdroppings- I never see this kind of stuff. Nobody ever accuses somebody of not being an Alabama grad. I don't get why it's so important with us.
I bring my kids to at least 1 game a year and follow the program religiously. I don't go on MLIVE or other websites and flame people.
It's bad enough to get subtle jabs from my Spartan grad friends and coworkers- it's just depressing to get it here.

I was born and raised in Ann Arbor, graduated from an Ann Arbor high school (First class out of skyline FWIW) with a 3.9+, got into Michigan, and decided that instead of going to the school I'd dreamed of going to literally since I was old enough to say "Go Blue", I would chase my pipe-dream of playing baseball at the highest level by going to a small school with higher academic ratings than most Ivy League schools. I have loved Michigan with every fiber of my being since I was able to walk, and somehow, I find this insulting. Out of the 100k+ that fill the big house every fall Saturday, I have been a part of that at least a few times a year every year since 1999. I always hoped that fellow die hard Michigan fans would be accepting of those that couldn't/didn't/chose not to attend the greatest public university in the country, but it is always disappointing to see posts like this on a blog I've been reading for the last 8 years. Go Blue.

I just changed it back.

Grow up. This is why wikipedia has a terrible rep with academics when those of us who contribute work hard to keep it up to date.

It's a great site that's unfortunately accessible to people who should sit on their hands.

It's more like an ongoing social experiment that proves that, contrary to the belief of media executives, the world still needs editors.

The best case against "the wisdom of the masses" is giving social media five moderator-free minutes of content control.

Well, now we have a perfect record in one section and the graphic representation of the results has Michigan State winning all of the games, which makes it an interesting rivalry indeed.

This page will eventually get locked probably, but WIkipedia seems to be often the victim of rivalry weeks.

Sharty can eat shit and die. Here's a Stone Cold tribute to whooping their candy asses all over the field this Saturday and hopefully running up the score on them. UM vs. sharty is like The Rattlesnake vs. Steph McMahon.

Guys in front of me in my section are Tool and Die Makers. The one guy owns a business in the Detroit area. Employs a lot of people. Loves Michigan and has loved Michigan forever (to the degree that he sometimes wears the old school M logo leather jackets with the maize sleeves - think Fresh Prince of Bel Air meets Michigan).

The guy donates anually, buys seats, tailgates (good food, I might add), takes his grandchildren (who might attend a Directional school) to the movie nights and other Michigan events.

I'd say this is the kind of fan Michigan might want to attract/retain.

Yoda, you just don't get it. Michigan is bigger than you.
