Hopefully they don't have a guy universally well-known to be great at shooting threes and leave him open, purposely, time and time again.  I know -- it sounds crazy.

If there was a moment in my life watching a sporting event where it was feasible that I could have punched a hole in my wall it was the McPoyle three that cut the lead from five to two in the final minutes.  We needed to have a player absolutely glued to him.

I found laughing at his facial hair helped ease my frustration.  The kid is pure babyface, but looked like someone glued pubes under where his chin should be.  It was a literal neckbeard, and I cant believe no one told him how awful it looks.

I'm not beard shaming...I dont have much facial hair myself.  But I recognize that and shave the little I have instead of looking like a scuzzo.

That was when I nearly lost my mind. McPoyle had been burning us all game and then that late in the 2nd half I STILL see the guy defending him helping in the middle and leaving McQuaid wide open in the corner. I'm sure Beilein/Yaklich had good reason for the defense they setup and the start of the game, but that late in the game when the only guy torching you was McQuaid you'd think MAYBE it's time to adjust the plan to stop the guy shooting over 50% from 3

Yesterday was a perfect example of why I watch these games alone. When Winston hit him with that full cross-court pass and he drained it, I think I actually did lose my mind. I was screaming things at the TV that I ought to be ashamed of.

The only thing worse than my language was Michigan's defense.

Was like watching Luke Hancock or Donte Di-whatever the fuck his name is from Villanova. Just some random, gangly-looking kid who literally comes out of nowhere and makes it rain from three. The guy just could not miss yesterday.

I thought that final three from Livers was going to be the dagger. And then when McPoyle went right down the court and sank another three, the bad feelings immediately came back. At that point, you just knew MSU was going to steal the game.

Thankfully I get to work from home 3 days per week.

One year I was up until midnight watching Michigan and was obviously falling asleep in a meeting the next day.

I live in Des Moines and already have tickets for this session! But the question is - should I spend a ton on tickets for the first session so I can sit behind State's bench and heckle and berate Izzo the whole time? Maybe I should get a kickstarter...

Pretty simple. If we blow through this tournament again this year we can chalk up the season as a very good team who matched up horribly with MSU and had that compounded by absolute refs shows in two games and a late game choke/whistle swallow from the refs in the last game. If they're flat and struggle or lose early, then they're just a solid team that peaked too early and couldn't get their mojo back as the season wore on. Let's go get some answers this weekend

Well thankfully I'm taking a half day on Friday to go home and watch the tournament, because it sounds like I'll be up late on Thursday night.

Just have to get through one 10:30 client meeting....
