I wonder how late it will be when the NCAA wises up and enforces their rules to have some modicum of parity in football? Like, blasted hellscape late, or just "no one watches football anymore" late. Because it is a bad sign when neither Michigan nor Alabama are excited to play each other.

I hope Michigan shows some grit, has a chip on its shoulder, and shows up to beat Alabama. The whole bowl game loss thing sucks. A win, even without Tua and any NFL-bound players who sit out the bowl, would be a huge narrative changer.

Alabama's defense did not give up 48 to Auburn's offense. Auburn's defense got 2 pick 6's off of Alabama's backup QB.

Alabama’s defense is ranked right there with Notre Dame and Michigan State. Michigan scored 44 and 45 against those two. I know you can’t compare games and teams but those two are the closest thing Michigan has seen compared to Alabama on defense and they scored plenty against both of them.

Yeah but Alabama’s defense had to face the high scoring SEC for most of their games. While ND faced the puds of the ACC and MSU’s D got to save face with games like Rutgers and Maryland.
You put either of those 2 teams in the SEC and I guarantee their defenses end up being ranked much lower than they are.

lol @ people thinking Alabama is going to put any effort into this game at all.
This is a big chance for us. Alabama will play this game like we played the Peach Bowl last year. We should go all in on prepping and really try. Beat them? It will be all anyone talks about all off season. Lose to them? We didn't expect to beat them anyway, it was Bama after all!

We aren't getting a Bama team that earned a Citrus Bowl spot because of a very meh season. We're getting one who was frankly slighted. If you're telling me you think 10-2 Florida is better than 10-2 Bama, you're crazy. Bama is better than almost everyone in the New Year's Six but got screwed out of a spot. They'll be pissed and out for blood.
