This will be your thread for hot takes and observations regarding the overall coaching.

Year 6 and:

  • We’re in our 2nd complete tire-fire season
  • we can’t throw the ball down the field and haven’t been able to do so during Harbaugh’s entire tenure against teams worth a shit
  • Harbaugh isn’t a QB whisperer of shit - not one QB Harbaugh has coached at Michigan has scored a TD in the NFL
  • we don’t use tempo
  • clock management is a joke - F’d up again there today
  • we have no idea what to do offensively if we can’t shove it down the throat of the other team, but hey we will continue to try for 4 quarters because Bo and Manball!
  • Zero clue about what to do against teams that can pass block and throw the ball
  • Program arrogance continues to be omnipresent
  • lost 3 out of 4 at home to MSU
  • 1-9 in the last two games of the season

Honestly, what the fuck else do you need to see? I know Brian and Seth will run interference come Monday but there’s no logical explanation for this regime to continue any longer.

Well for fuck's sakes, Mel Tucker is 1-0 against Harbaugh at the Big House, so there are probably more people than you think.

Seriously, we really need to stop this blathering bullshit that Harbaugh is the BEST coach we could ever, ever get and we should be happy when he lays a turd at home like this AND he cannot win on the road against teams with a fucking pulse, oh wait, we did beat #20 ranked Northwestern a few years ago, so we have that going for us which is nice!

I see this comment is in negative point territory and I don't get it. Who the hell are we going to get? What coach has the talent to come in here and change the recruiting talent disparity vs OSU? There isn't one. It sucks but to be honest it'll take a miracle to catch luck on our side on the day we play OSU to beat them.

Back to the question though, who the hell wants to come here? Extremely demanding fan base, sky-high expectations, (assuming JH is canned) would have fired a legacy program coach who's been to a superbowl... Sorry to say it but the truth is we're not getting anyone better than Harbaugh.

It has been far from perfect since he got here but if you think we can snap our fingers and get a coach who changes our program overnight to a conference champion you're just not being real with yourself.

What don't you get????? Are you too young to remember when we used to compete for and win Big Ten Championships? Have you just given up? This "who are we gonna get?" garbage is so tiresome. I don't know, and it's not my job to know. I would probably seek out a promising young head coach. But this idea that there is no one else on Earth who can do better than this at Michigan is total BS. Will it be hard to find someone better? Yes. Could they flame out with a bad hire? Yes. No one knew who the hell Bo Schembechler was when he was hired. They should do their due diligence. Hire a search firm. Interview a lot of people. And find the best person. All I know is I'm done with this program if they're satisfied with this. Completely done.

Real with myself? Look...anyone hear of Ryan Day before he showed up at Ohio State? I see people want Joe Burrow. Nobody knew of him before his one season at LSU. Or noted Eastern Carolina OC Lincoln Riley before he immediately become HC in waiting at Oklahoma?  There are a number of guys we don't think of who have the capabilities (again, Ryan Day anyone?) to run a great program. And our "demanding" fan base is a fiction. You think we are any more demanding that the fan bases of any aspiring Top 10 program?

This is crazy. How does Gattis’ play calling change so drastically from last week? This has vintage Harbaugh conservatism written all over it. Every big game is like this except now from shotgun.

The bubble screens, QB runs, RPOs... everything was missing from last week.

Outside of Cornelius Johnson, we have 0 downfield threats. Bell and All can’t catch for shit. The little fast guys can only do so much when the play calls create 0 space.

This is so frustrating. Pulling Milton out for that stupid wildcat crap reeked of the 2-pt Borges shit that tipped the opposing defense off of what was supposed to come prior to the timeout. Then to DO IT AGAIN AFTER THE TIMEOUT!?!?!

WE HAVE A CAM NEWTON SIZED QB YOU MORONS. USE HIM!!!!

I have been a pretty big Harbaugh defender over the years but this loss was Michigan's most inexcusable since The Horror. We are, at best, stuck in neutral and falling further behind OSU every day. The program needs new blood.

As the old saying goes, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

You may be right. It was like Michigan was one of those two-trailer trucks with sixteen wheels, and you got to see one wheel after another just come off and roll into the ditch. And Jimmy with that same pained look on his face as always. Only--squint though you might--you just can't come up with a reason to justify it anymore. Other team played harder, and that's a problem.

Awful. Like fireable offense awful. I have no clue what the gameplan was on either side of the ball. It looks like they just expected to waltz in, run their base offense and defense, and cruise to a victory. This program isn't getting any better with this staff. It's just 3rd in our division every year and the Gator Bowl
