Michigan Injury Status (Speculative)
With a handful of players getting dinged yesterday, I’m starting to lose track of all our injuries. Since colleges don’t go public who is hurt and severity of injury, it is hard to keep track of them all. Here are all the injuries that seem to be known and their severity going into the game next weekend. Could be missing somebody. It’s that time of year when everyone has injuries but we have 11 major contributors who could be out and a handful of others who have some significant issues.
Doubtful / Out
QB Wilton Speight - Neck
WR Tarik Black - Foot
TE Nick Eubanks – Upper body / neck?
OT Grant Newsome - Leg
Questionable
CB Lavert Hill – Concussion
WR Kekoa Crawford – Lower Body?
WR Nico Collins – Lower Body
RB Karan Higdon – Lower Body / Ankle
RB Ty Isaac – Lower Body
OG – Mike Onwenu – Lower Body
DE Rashan Gary – Shoulder? Might be probable but he didn’t return after getting injured
Probable
CB David Long – Knee
WR Grant Perry – Lower Body? Doghouse? Not sure but played very little yesterday and missed some time before that
RB Kareem Walker – Lower body / ankle? Played yesterday but has been dinged up
TE Ty Wheatley – Lower Body?? Played as well yesterday but has also been dinged up

Thanks for putting that together. I think the impact of injuries, especially on offense, has not really been fully appreciated this year by many fans.

Yes he is wrong. We lost our qb, Marylands only loss to injury on offense all year has been qb, yet their season fell apart when it happened. FSU has been crap without ther qb.. I will wait for examples of teams that have had better years after losing their qb, not to mention all the other injuy problems we have had.

MSU is 7-3.

Sometimes they are a big part of the game. Saying that all teams have to deal with them is pointless. You're implying that injuries won't or shouldn't affect some teams much more than others, which is utter nonsense.

I will wait for you to name the team that lost their qb this year and has dealt with it better than us. I mean injuries are part of the game and it's bullshit to use it as an excuse, so it should be easy to find exaples of teams that have done it better than we have right?

No, most teams don't lose their starting quarterback.

with their third string QB. Practically every backup QB I've seen this year is more effective than what we have.

You don't hear Bama or OSU bitching about injuries.

Only because I don't read their blogs.

Which is interesting because Mississippi State was not bitching about their top 3 receivers not starting the game with injuries or Bama having difficulty running the ball outside until Mississippi State's best safety and a starting inside linebacker left the game with injuries.
Every team is affected by injuries at this point of the season. Some, of course, have more than others. The way Bama recruits, there isn't as much drop off as you find with other teams when you move down the depth chart.
I'm not feeling much pity for Bama!

Pretty sure he still had his pads on under his coat, so no, his shoulder wasn't dislocated.
Stop being stupid.
