Michigan Football ticket secondary market is gonna be a melee
Single game tickets went on sale to all of us sub-75 point donors today.
- OSU and MSU are completely sold out
- Cincinnati, Rutgers(!) are down to single seats stranded
- Air Force has seats together but they're in not ideal sections so basically throw that one onto the single seats list
- Minnesota is the game with the highest number of seats left
Demand is crazy. Last year I was buying multiple seats for Penn State, Wisconsin, Indiana on MGoBlue week of.
Single game tickets go on sale to those who don't have any priority points tomorrow. Good luck.
Brace yourselves. Stubhub melees are coming. Get ready to get bent over in "service fees".
High season ticket demand and not all tickets are being released yet. I have a hard time believing any of the remaining four opponents will sell out of their respective allotments. I wouldn't pay face value for any of those games.
Amazing what happens when you feed the beast.....it just gets worse and worse and needs more and more...
I checked yesterday during the 75+ point window at 8:30 on the dot and they were already sold out of OSU at that point and only had stranded single seats left for MSU. Whatever availability they had were probably scooped up in the ticket packs. <shrug emoji>
I agree that waiting to buy tickets is a good strategy, but the demand for tickets is going up each year (Harbaugh) and prices are a reflection of the demand. Those last minute deals are going to be harder to find this year, and in the future.
But the time commitment can be a serious drag. With the advancement of Televisions, it is a tough sell to get me to drive over from Chicago to catch a game.
Cost can be part of the issue, as well as time commitment, but another one is missing the other slate of games that are on at/around the gametime. Being a fan of college football, i love having the option to watch other marquee matchups either immediately before or after the Michigan game.
I bought some off a secondary site and am waiting for the seller to send but haven't done it like this before. Anyone know when I can expect them? Have people gotten their Florida tickes?
I bought the three pack tickets the last couple of years and didn't this year. When I looked a few weeks ago at the three packs OSU was already sold out.
I considered getting season tickets after RR's first and second seasons because of the low demand, and for years was happy I didn't. ....until now.
I use TickPick to get most of my tickets nowadays, since there aren't any fees tacked on at the end. I generally have found the list prices to be comparable to other sites, though haven't researched/bought M football tickets before, so maybe it doesn't hold up.
I only go to a game or two a year. It becomes very expensive when you factor in flying and hotels. Luckily Michigan plays close enough to drive this year with the game in Arlington.
Do you guys know of a site like stubhub (preferably a non-shady, well respected site with a moneyback guarantee) except where you can get hard tickets? As far as I know stubhub only has the e-tickets. I see a UPS option but I was told that they just mail you the PDF ticket on computer paper which is lame. I like to keep my tickets.
Get them the week of the game and you can usually get them for less than face value for the "non-premiere games." I usually go to 1-2 games a year and pay ~$50 a ticket
Havent stepped foot inside stadium since Nebraska game in 2014. Had to miss OSU game due to death of father-in-law and didnt renew as Brady Hoke/Dave Brandon killed me. Watched every game on TV though.
Heading back for OSU game. Already have hotel booked for Friday & Saturday night. Will try and make MSU game as well. Resigned myself to paying premium for tickets on secondary market but that's the price you pay (no pun intended) for cherry-picking the games you want to attend.
Cant wait to get back.
Anyone know where I can watch the games at? I am in Perrysburg, OH?
Thanks.
Named after famed Battle of 1812 Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry, he of the "Don't give up the Ship" fame. And Admiral Oliver Hazard Perry is my Great, great, great Uncle and I'm a direct decedent as my mother's maiden name was Perry. Her great, great grandfather was his brother, Commodore Mathew Perry who was an equally decorated naval officer - just not as famous as his brother Oliver.
The county he bestowed to his cousin who later had a son named Boss?
is located in rural east central Kentucky, south of Jackson, KY.
You're not a direct descendant in this case. Only child-parent relationships count for direct descendants. You're a direct descendant of Mathew Perry, but not Oliver.
I like to get drunk in the shadows of his monument, so we're practically related.
I live in Kansas and my cable provider only offers the big 10 network that shows NE games, so I head to Buffalo Wild Wings. They subscribe to cable and direct TV and seem to have all the Michigan games. You just have to ask them and order a plate of wings and a beer and they will tune one of their televisions to the Michigan game.
To a game. Both were preconference so tickets weren't too bad. They love the MDen shopping but don't love football like me. Two years ago I also paid around $400 to see us get beat up by osu in the freezing cold. This year, I think I'm going to go solo and meet up with some old high school friend from Ann Arbor. Planning on going to the msu game but still trying to figure out best way to get tickets. If they are undefeated going into that game, I may be looking at a pretty pricey ticket. I'm going regardless. Can't wait. I think this year will be special (I've been thinking that for the past 40+ years to be honest).
GO BLUE!!
If you know what you are doing, you can get tickets much under face value the day of the game. I get wanting to have tickets in hand, but great seats can be had for $20 right before kickoff.
Money is king and all, but it really sucks to not even have a chance to buy OSU tickets as part of the ticket pack. I thought I was making a big concession to pay face value for two meh games to pay for OSU, but clearly I was not. Again, I get it, but it's super disappointing and part of the overall trend that you have to spend the mega-dollars to enjoy a game
I had a shot at tickets but they were row 98 and in the end zone so basically I'd be sitting with the OSU fans. No thanks.
I chose Air Force (great seats - about the 30 yard line, row 30)
Minnesota (meh seats - the section above the student section)
OSU (craptastic seats)
I really only wanted OSU & Minny so I passed and am going secondary market.

I'm still trying to figure out the best way to sell my 4 season tickets.
I was considering the Stub-Hub route, but damn I hate those fees.
Do people really look for tickts on Ebay? I see a few sets listed and sold there, but certainly not high volumes. I think I might put them up there and see if it works, but otherwise I'll have to go the individual game route on StubHub and just take the fees in the gut.
Our office is short staffed and my boss has me working one day of my only 3 weekends this fall I have off. Since I left Michigan in '88, I've always caught one road game or home game if I got a weekend off. My only weekend off may be the OSU weekend but those tickets will cost a lot on the open market. I hate these sport stadium investors, they end up selling all their tickets to Buckeye fans.
Probably during the week of the game.
If Maryland is awful, that place might be 50% Michigan fans again. Plan on it being a night game.
I went to buy Minnesota ticket this morning and there were only singles left (that I could see on the map.) Anyone got large traunches of MN tickets?
I just bought StubHub tickets for Cincy. Section 43 Row 33. $151 per ticket. To me that is pretty good. I got lucky though. Will be on the 15 and a perfect row level. I've been paying about $90-100 for below row 30 in the North End Zone. I really liked the proximity to the student section but this year I wanted to see the field as I would at home.
I bought now because I didn't want there to be like 50 tickets left before the game started.
