Even though he's played a lot of football, Penix appears to have plenty of room for growth. Maybe something new will give him the necessary spark.

Penix always did his best work under center with a nice clean pocket, but when that pocket breaks down and starts to get loose, unless he had a good tight end to turn to he never could perform.

While UW would be a nice fit for Penix, they also have a 5 star QB who "redshirted" this year by playing in no more than 4 games - Sam Huard of the Huard family fame.

If the Ewers situation wasn't enough to read the tea leaves, talented QBs aren't going to wait more than 1 year to play. Something will shake out at UW before end of 2022 - either Penix (if he goes there) takes charge or Huard takes over ready or not.
