I believe it started with the Dr Pepper commercial with Pitbull saying "lets have a real good time" over and over. Talking about Pitbull became a running gag of the podcast. That's pretty much all I remember.

It started 7-8 years ago when Dr. Pepper had a commercial with Pitbull that aired on seemingly every college football commercial break. The chorus said "Let's have a real good time," but Brian said that he could only hear "Let's have a field goal try," which is all I could hear afterwards. They are also partying under a bridge for unknown reasons. It's been a mgoblog meme since then.

The Dr. Pepper college footballs ads during games used to feature Pitbull. There were 10 times better then the Larry Culpepper ads.
Brian decided that Pitbull celebrating underneath a bridge was much more palatable that that guy being an annoying vendor and better for college football watching.

Yeah, a couple of years ago Brian came out in full force defense of Pitbull on a podcast (when the anti-Pitbull sentiment was at its strongest). Primarily because he is a hilariously weird media construct while also seemingly a really good and happy person.

I asked a similar question in a thread last night. And while I’d really like to feel this moment and have the time of our lives together, I don’t think this is going down and I’m definitely not yelling timber. Further, I’d rather tell the team to give me everything tomorrow night, and I’d rather them be in bed early tonight. And given Seth’s game preview, I’d be okay if we shelve speed in space tomorrow and just run the night. I’m not messin’ around.
