And people were mad about playing at MSG.

I think this is a cool idea, but damn they really need to win something (a B1G east title, or at least a bowl game) before worrying about this distracting stuff.

No one cares about a share of the big ten east when we got demolished by OSU. Bragging about a 2018 big ten east title is absurd. I'm not saying you're bragging about it, but anyone who does needs to check themselves and look at the score of the OSU game. That's the tie breaker. There is no share garbage as far as I'm concerned.

In my opinion, it would be a shame to take a big conference game away from either team's home stadium. This is the kind of thing that we should do with a mediocre game to create some interest and market to a different area, not something we should do with a game that will have 100,000+ fans anyway.

I think Canada is a logical choice, they actually kind of play this sport too.  Additionally, the travel would be easier midseason.

However, I wouldn't mind a big splash like Wembly Stadium in London with the history.  Just schedule it right before the bye week.

Toronto feels more like America Junior to me.  Don't get me wrong, Toronto is cool, but Montreal feels European, Toronto feels like the US.

Really, really cool.

Harbaugh and the program just keep motoring on as if their the shit, no matter the record against Ohio State.

EDIT: I don't mind the negs, but based on the comments below they may be for the wrong reasons.

I like this game - I think it's really, really cool.  There is no s/

You can infer from that I also approve of Harbaugh and the program motoring on as if they're the shit, no matter the record against OSU.  That's a good thing, they should be doing that.

If the negs are for their/they're, they are readily deserved.

You are right, how dare they continue to run the program and create cool opportunities for the players and talk to the media.  They need to get their priorities in order.

If they can't beat Ohio State, they should lock themselves in Schembechler Hall and keep their heads down and avoid all public encounters and media events.

You have read my comment incorrectly.

I don't expect people to know my posting history, but I am the furthest thing from a Harbaugh critic.  I'm at the opposite end - I think he's been an excellent coach here win/loss wise, much more so than probably only a handful of others.  I like the international trips, his quirkiness, all of it.

I think it says a lot about this site that a sincere comment like mine above generated so much activity, because it was assumed sarcastic.  But to the extent that it rallied the troops in defense of Harbaugh, it had an excellent unintended effect.

Do not really like this. If it takes away a home game that sucks for season ticket holders. And if it’s a non conference opponent I would rather have an opportunity to travel to a college stadium I may have never been to.

A couple years back when AS Roma came to Ann Arbor to play a friendly, there was talk about a future ND VS Michigan game in Rome at AS Roma's new stadium. Problem is that stadium is a few years behind schedule because of Roman politics and ground has yet to be broken. Moreover, Rome is currently is a heaping pile of trash due to more politics...literal trash piles everywhere. So, I'm not sure how many people want to visit under current circumstances.

Unless the city of Rome gets its act together soon, I suspect a future match will be somewhere else...likely where there is an alumni presence for both schools. Dont know for sure, but assume that would be the UK.

While I think that it is pointless to play at MSG, that home game will be half filled anyway and the New York alumni base will fill out MSG. Kinda cool to me that they want to bring the teams to the alumni and I am sure the players enjoy playing at a venue like MSG.
