Lincoln Riley States Entire Position Group Minus 1 Test Positive

Is it true Michigan high school sports aren't even allowed to be played this fall?
If it is true, that is freaking insane
August 25th, 2020 at 4:50 PM ^
Just about everything is "postponed" until spring here in Colorado. Youth soccer is still happening on a one-week-at-a-time basis, but no parents are allowed on the sidelines. Even flag football is cancelled.
So just like the B10, the state of Colorado is also forgoing millions in revenue simply to stick it to Trump. The deep state runs very deep, indeed. /s
August 25th, 2020 at 4:16 PM ^
I live in CA and all HS fall sports are cancelled, and I've heard that this is pretty common around the country. Both of my sons (7 and 10) play soccer, one plays flag football, and neither of those have come back yet. One of my sons was able to start swimming again but with major restrictions.
So no, I don't think your statement that sports are all happening at every level is anywhere close to true.
August 25th, 2020 at 4:29 PM ^
I would get the hell out of LA. That is an insane amount of fear.
August 25th, 2020 at 4:35 PM ^
Literally no one is moving from LA to fucking Ohio, even the people here who are from Ohio.
August 25th, 2020 at 4:40 PM ^
I'd love to see a nationwide poll about this. Columbus vs LA.
August 25th, 2020 at 7:50 PM ^
Columbus v Jacksonville Florida might be a better contest
August 25th, 2020 at 8:26 PM ^
Even the most pro-Akron person who ever lived, when given a chance, left Ohio, TWICE! I’m no LeBron fan, but I can’t argue with his decisions to leave Ohio.
August 25th, 2020 at 4:30 PM ^
Currently more sports are scheduled to play HS compared to how many wont
August 25th, 2020 at 4:44 PM ^
More are also postponed than there are scheduled to play on time. One guess as to why.
August 25th, 2020 at 4:48 PM ^
HS football is currently slated to begin in more states than sit out right now. May change but as of few days ago it was like 30 or so playing to 20 not.
August 25th, 2020 at 5:54 PM ^
It's not the media we're listening to. It's infectious disease experts, epidemiologists, doctors, scientists.
I'm so sick of people like you. You and others like you are the reason we are still stuck in this pandemic with little to no positive progress. Eat dicks you fucking twat.
August 25th, 2020 at 7:53 PM ^
speaking of which, I feel like we need a massive mgoblog bet. There have been sides clearly forming over the past few months. One giant lemon eating (or dick flavored lemon shaped candies if that’s your thing) friendly bet for the whole blog. Choose your side, buy your lemons, and then let it commence.
mainly because I want some metric for people to finally admit “hey I was wrong”
I know that won’t happen though because internet.
August 25th, 2020 at 3:49 PM ^
Enough with the crying. We get it. You care more about football than public health. No one wants to repeat over and over again how much more complex having a college football season is than having little league or having professional athletes play in a bubble. Let's see how far other conferences get to having a season before we throw our hands up in the air and declare the BIG 10 made a monumental mistake.
Spoiler alert: It's not looking good (see above, below, and all around you)
August 25th, 2020 at 3:52 PM ^
Azee - Warren is loving Michigan fans right now lol
Yes, we will see. I know Warren is rooting like hell of the other conferences to fail.
August 25th, 2020 at 3:55 PM ^
And everyone still hates OSU fans. Nothings changed!
August 25th, 2020 at 3:58 PM ^
Is that why you guys are so ok with cancelling football? You are afraid of Ohio State?
August 25th, 2020 at 4:09 PM ^
You are totally right. It's not because my girlfriend is in med school and I have multiple family members in the medical field who understand how serious this pandemic is. Also not because my girlfriend lost her grandmother in March to Covid and a few of my friends who did have it (25-30 years old) said it was unlike any illness they had before. Probably also not because our country has 178,000 confirmed deaths and college football doesnt rule my life.
But yeah, I understand the cancellation of the season because i'm scared of a college football team.
August 25th, 2020 at 6:24 PM ^
Great response!
This clown is nothing but a troll. * Disclaimer-- No offense to clowns.
August 25th, 2020 at 9:05 PM ^
No, we're afraid of one of our athletes getting sick and dying or having long term after effects.
We actually care about our players here. Not just what they can do for us on the field.
August 25th, 2020 at 4:09 PM ^
@BuckeyeRealist13 You know that in Europe (and even England which started with a horrible Trumpian-like initial response to Covid) there is now massive, free testing, universal healthcare, detailed contract tracing to snuff out outbreaks, and near-universal mask-wearing? But fucking idiots like you are/were too selfish and willfully ignorant to listen to the science and do the right thing over the course of the spring and summer... and now Europe gets sports and we get nada.
August 25th, 2020 at 4:25 PM ^
KB - Settle down. I wear my mask everywhere and sanitize often.
August 25th, 2020 at 4:44 PM ^
We get nada? Actually EVERY single sport in this country is playing besides some CFB conferences so not sure where you are getting that from.
Also cases in Europe are now surging again. Germany just had it's highest case count Saturday since April and their op medical authority called "alarming." France just their case total in a day since May.
While United States just reported our lowest case count in any one day in over two months. Just reporting data over opinions as all here I posted is true being reported last couple days.
August 25th, 2020 at 5:13 PM ^
Germany new high = ~2,000 new cases
U.S. new low = ~43,000 new cases
You you are not just reporting data, you are making misleading statements about the data. The above is why sports leagues are struggling in the U.S. outside of bubbles. Nice try though.
August 25th, 2020 at 10:19 PM ^
Buckeye Realist, you’re incredibly ignorant and brain dead, even for a Buckeye.
August 25th, 2020 at 3:35 PM ^
I mean, if it is on defense, then this is not a tragic loss on the whole, given how the Big XII usually likes its football....
August 25th, 2020 at 3:39 PM ^
You ain't kidding lol fun but not real football at all
August 25th, 2020 at 3:49 PM ^
Was it real when OU rolled into Columbus and beat the Buckeyes a few years back?
August 25th, 2020 at 3:53 PM ^
Yes it was. Great game by Oklahoma.
August 25th, 2020 at 7:12 PM ^
Are you sure it wasn't just a bad game by ThEeE oHiO St? Come on, if you're going to post here you have to get with the program.
August 25th, 2020 at 3:43 PM ^
At least they will all have some type of immunity by time the season starts.
August 25th, 2020 at 3:45 PM ^
lol you ain't kidding. Why Clemson is about to win it all. I think every single players on their team has had it. (All asymptomatic and not a single health issue btw)
August 25th, 2020 at 3:51 PM ^
Did you not see that a Clemson player is sitting out the season because he can’t get back into playing shape because of COVID?
We don’t even know how long you are immune after you get it. Jair Bolsanaro has it twice within a matter of a couple months.
August 25th, 2020 at 5:00 PM ^
Zero confirmation anyone is getting this twice. If that is the confirmed case then we have MUCH bigger worries in the future with all of this and better come up with a whole new plan for life in general.
Been multiple studies showing some who had Sar Cov-1 still have antibodies 17 years later for Covid-19. There's 6 different coronoa viruses out there many of which are just the common cold and because some of them they think its a reason we are seeing so many asymptomatic cases right now as these antibodies (something do with T cell immunity) are having little problem with covid.
August 25th, 2020 at 6:33 PM ^
33 y/o man in Hong Kong has been confirmed to have it twice. 4 months apart. 2nd time was a different strain.
August 25th, 2020 at 10:03 PM ^
Yes, 1 confirmed/documented case of catching multiple strains out of 23.7M cases so far.
August 25th, 2020 at 5:05 PM ^
Ill just leave this here (sorry I know not great to ref ESPN, but this is pretty eye opening buckeyes...not just B1G guys on here)
https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/29738478/23-ap-preseason-all-americans-not-slated-play-college-football-season
August 25th, 2020 at 3:53 PM ^
Not a single health issue? One of their players is out for the season because of it. They were nowhere near all asymptomatic.
August 25th, 2020 at 4:28 PM ^
And I'm sure BuckeyeRealist has access to each of their echos to see how their hearts responded as well. Not sure how a forum poster can say whether a group of 80+ guys have lasting COVID complications.
August 25th, 2020 at 3:55 PM ^
Yet another example of "let me talk out my ass because I will never face consequences for this"
August 25th, 2020 at 4:13 PM ^
Win all of what? There isn’t going to be a legitimate championship to play for but go ahead...”Weeee, we’re #1! We’re #1!”
August 25th, 2020 at 4:22 PM ^
If the B1G would have won more than 2.5 NC's in the last 48 years I would agree.
The NC doesn't need the B1G and Pac 12 to be legitimate.
August 25th, 2020 at 4:29 PM ^
1.5. Miami won that game in 2002. BS call.
August 25th, 2020 at 3:46 PM ^
Are any of them sick?
August 25th, 2020 at 3:55 PM ^
Source? Oh you don’t have one. You just state what you want to believe and treat it as a fact, as you have this entire thread. Often these guys test positive and get symptoms later.
August 25th, 2020 at 5:07 PM ^
Always going to be people who get sick it's a virus but we've established some standard unlike any pas virus in our lifetimes no one can get sick from this. Sure people get upper respiratory infections, that was ALWAYS expected with virus. That said no one has died so far athletically or came close to dying either. Bottom line all about weighing the risk/reward. Obviously not all agree on this. No right or wrong answer. I'd rather see those who are effected be the ones making choice considering students at these schools are also in harms way as well.
August 26th, 2020 at 11:21 AM ^
Mods; how long are you going to let this guy carry on posting verifiable lies? Seriously, it's total bullshit.
