Just about everything is "postponed" until spring here in Colorado.  Youth soccer is still happening on a one-week-at-a-time basis, but no parents are allowed on the sidelines.  Even flag football is cancelled.

So just like the B10, the state of Colorado is also forgoing millions in revenue simply to stick it to Trump. The deep state runs very deep, indeed. /s

I live in CA and all HS fall sports are cancelled, and I've heard that this is pretty common around the country. Both of my sons (7 and 10) play soccer, one plays flag football, and neither of those have come back yet. One of my sons was able to start swimming again but with major restrictions.

So no, I don't think your statement that sports are all happening at every level is anywhere close to true.

It's not the media we're listening to. It's infectious disease experts, epidemiologists, doctors, scientists.

I'm so sick of people like you. You and others like you are the reason we are still stuck in this pandemic with little to no positive progress. Eat dicks you fucking twat.

speaking of which, I feel like we need a massive mgoblog bet. There have been sides clearly forming over the past few months. One giant lemon eating (or dick flavored lemon shaped candies if that’s your thing) friendly bet for the whole blog. Choose your side, buy your lemons, and then let it commence.

mainly because I want some metric for people to finally admit “hey I was wrong”

I know that won’t happen though because internet.

Enough with the crying. We get it. You care more about football than public health. No one wants to repeat over and over again how much more complex having a college football season is than having little league or having professional athletes play in a bubble. Let's see how far other conferences get to having a season before we throw our hands up in the air and declare the BIG 10 made a monumental mistake.

Spoiler alert: It's not looking good (see above, below, and all around you)

You are totally right. It's not because my girlfriend is in med school and I have multiple family members in the medical field who understand how serious this pandemic is. Also not because my girlfriend lost her grandmother in March to Covid and a few of my friends who did have it (25-30 years old) said it was unlike any illness they had before. Probably also not because our country has 178,000 confirmed deaths and college football doesnt rule my life.

But yeah, I understand the cancellation of the season because i'm scared of a college football team.

No, we're afraid of one of our athletes getting sick and dying or having long term after effects.

We actually care about our players here. Not just what they can do for us on the field.

@BuckeyeRealist13  You know that in Europe (and even England which started with a horrible Trumpian-like initial response to Covid) there is now massive, free testing, universal healthcare, detailed contract tracing to snuff out outbreaks, and near-universal mask-wearing? But fucking idiots like you are/were too selfish and willfully ignorant to listen to the science and do the right thing over the course of the spring and summer... and now Europe gets sports and we get nada.

We get nada? Actually EVERY single sport in this country is playing besides some CFB conferences so not sure where you are getting that from.

Also cases in Europe are now surging again. Germany just had it's highest case count Saturday since April and their op medical authority called "alarming." France just their case total in a day since May.

While United States just reported our lowest case count in any one day in over two months. Just reporting data over opinions as all here I posted is true being reported last couple days.

Did you not see that a Clemson player is sitting out the season because he can’t get back into playing shape because of COVID?
We don’t even know how long you are immune after you get it. Jair Bolsanaro has it twice within a matter of a couple months.

Zero confirmation anyone is getting this twice. If that is the confirmed case then we have MUCH bigger worries in the future with all of this and better come up with a whole new plan for life in general.

Been multiple studies showing some who had Sar Cov-1 still have antibodies 17 years later for Covid-19. There's 6 different coronoa viruses out there many of which are just the common cold and because some of them they think its a reason we are seeing so many asymptomatic cases right now as these antibodies (something do with T cell immunity) are having little problem with covid.

Source?  Oh you don’t have one.  You just state what you want to believe and treat it as a fact, as you have this entire thread.  Often these guys test positive and get symptoms later.

Always going to be people who get sick it's a virus but we've established some standard unlike any pas virus in our lifetimes no one can get sick from this. Sure people get upper respiratory infections, that was ALWAYS expected with virus. That said no one has died so far athletically or came close to dying either. Bottom line all about weighing the risk/reward. Obviously not all agree on this. No right or wrong answer. I'd rather see those who are effected be the ones making choice considering students at these schools are also in harms way as well.
