Let's talk Josaiah Stewart.

The way he blew up that OL a la Reggie White to trip Milroe on the 4th + goal in overtime was beastly.

Go Stew. Go Blue.

You really wanna highlight this staff's incredible nose for transfers and maximizing their abilities, look no further than Cam Goode.  Came here to be a depth guy, many thought he'd barely see the field if at all.  And yet here he is, on the field against Bama holding his own (and almost joining the sack party)

Michigan has killed it in the transfer portal.  Okie was a nice contributor last year, Stewart has been much more than that.  Josh Wallace deserves a shoutout as well.  They played a TON of man and while Will Johnson had the tougher assignment, Wallace was nails all game against Ala freaking Bama.  Not bad for a 6'0" guy from UMass.

I'm old enough to remember when members of this site openly wondered why stewart was playing and that harrell was a replacement level big ten dlineman.

Stewart was an absolute beast yesterday.  His speed was a huge factor in containing Milroe a lot of the game.  I still give R Wilson's catch on the final drive as the play of the game because if he misses that, it is going to be intercepted.  But Stewart's play at the end is 1B.

Washington’s Oline may have won the Joe Moore award, but playing against what defensive lines this year? They will face the best d line by far when they play Michigan. And I hope both the oline and dline are reminded about that award as they prepare this week. I see Graham, Jenkins, Grant, Moore, Stewart, MacGregor, etc. causing their oline problems and forcing Penix to throw quickly.

It was incredible. He killed the play, pretty much single-handedly.

Considering the stakes, that is one of the top 2 or 3 greatest defensive plays I’ve ever seen!

Thank you for starting this thread.

#5 and the rest of the D, had a great game all the way around.

I don't think the play call was as terrible as it looked.  If the snap wasn't trouble, Milroe has time to see what's in front of him and choose a path.  Because the snap was low, I think it was panic that had him just grab it and run straight up the middle.  Mikey and Barrett had the edges, but one on one, make a guy miss and he's in the end zone.  He also had Williams on the swing pass which was defended, but again needing a 1 on 1 open field tackle to prevent the TD.

The D had Milroe rattled just about all game, that combined with another low snap and the D line wrecking 'bama..... it was beautiful!

THANK YOU!  That dude made the play of the game IMO. He absolutely destroyed that playing by caving in the OL who probably weighed at least 60 pounds more than Stewart.  What a stud!
