That was a terrible fourth down call for VT. For one thing Clemson was playing a good ten yards off at the top of the screen and a quick hitch was almost a guaranteed first down.

Insane.

How BAD of advice could you have? Unless you're a guy like Calloway at UF where you can't stay on the field...there's no reason to ever leave early if you're not a LOCK for the first 3 rounds.

Evans was never even close to that. He had a HUGE opportunity to be the man this year and raise his stock.

Ah well. Live and learn, I suppose.

Normally I would too. But I don’t think UCLA, being the great academic institution that it is, will want to risk Kelly bringing in all the shady shit he was likely doing at Oregon. The administration would have to be watching him like a hawk.

LSU or A&M, on the other hand.......

LSU is pretty wealthy as a program, but I don't know if they can afford the buyout for their current coach, the buyout for Miles, the contact for Kelly, and still compete on athletic resources going forward.  At the very least, they'd be investing a lot of resources in one person.

but yeah, UC is looking rough.  I watched that game, it was ugly.  Tsunami Tommy Tuberville left a mess down there.

BTW - Tuberville was calling FSU/Wake today.  I saw the last play.  I enjoyed Tuberville's "insight": "Wake should probably go for the end zone here."

Yeah, down 7 with :05 to play at the FSU 35 --- they probably should.

after losing the NC game to Clemson last year.  I know its early, but I would be stunned if they don't win the National Championship this year. They abused Ole Miss in the first half 35-3.  With Bo Scarborough and Damien Harris, Don't think Najee will see the field much this year except in garbage time.
