Also a former analyst at Penn St. for 3 years before his stretch at ODU.

Before that he was the offensive coordinator at Division II Alderson Broaddus University for five seasons.

ODU, you say...  There was a brief period of time several years back where ODU was actually pretty good at football.  I wonder if Coach Campbell's time at ODU coincides with that period of good football?

Did not know this. That is some old school option football. This is the direction I hope Michigan goes in. Double down on the run. Michigan doesn't need an OSU pass game coordinator. Michigan needs to lean heavier into what they are already doing. Start recruiting more athletes to play QB. Rotate them like running back. Watch what Tony Annese and Ferris State do. Denard Robinson was all set to play CB for Urban Meyer and Florida until Michigan offered him the opportunity to play QB. Usually the best athlete on the team in high school plays QB. Most won't end up playing QB in college. A lot might pass up an NIL deal to name your SEC school to play up north if its under center. I really hope this is where Michigan is headed.

yeah, was weiss really that big of an asset that the program would throw sunglasses on him and hire "kirk campbell"?

They help out with on-campus recruiting activities but are not allowed to recruit off-campus.  

Chris Balas has made a living doing it.
