This is such a huge conflict that you almost think the Big Ten did it this way specifically to make it easier to shoot down.  But at least Pettiti won't have to hear from Bielema, Schiano and Walters anymore.

Also Pettiti is done.  Either Michigan will get him fired directly, or he will succeed in destroying the season for Michigan and then his value to the rest of the league will be nil.  Once his value has been used up, the league will run him off in faux rage over weakening the conference.  He can't be allowed to stay lest he may be convinced to come after one of them next.

Jim Tweeted this almost 9 years ago. Still relevant today, especially today.

How convenient that the team that benefits most from this decision had two of the four people making the decision on the committee.  Maybe there should be a rule limiting participation to no more than one member from any school?

Yeah... how the hell can any school have 2 members on a given committee?   And more broadly, any committee authorized to grant this much power to a single executive should include representation from every member school.  What kind of shit show are they running over there?  {Rhetorical - we already know}

Could the fact that osu and osu hold 3 of 4 seats give Michigan even more legal ammo on a few fronts. Favoritism. Selective enforcement. Due process. Competitive advantage.

That committee membership was of a few years ago.  But, if the committee stands has representatives from PSU, Maryland or OSU and those representatives didn't recuse themselves because of a conflict of interest, then that seems to be a big issue.  The conflict of interest obviously stems from OSU, PSU and Maryland would benefit directly from the committee's actions vis-a-vis the Michigan suspension.

What's the difference. Literally the entire conference is against Harbaugh and Michigan. They could grab any 1,000 random people from the conference and get a unanimous decision on this.

I honestly don’t see how Michigan can remain in the conference after this.

Grant of Rights or not competition depends upon respect. That no longer exists. Fellow conference members ganging up to actively trying to cripple another member’s season is a violation of the compact that formed the conference.

Leave and sue for grant of rights back.

Has anyone been able to confirm who the four people are, the schools they represent, and how they get appointed/chosen? If they voted and approved why aren’t their names and affiliations known for transparency and all. I’ve used some various searching capabilities and the people I could find info for is outdated. Kind of like they’ve stripped their website of their existence.
