If Fisher's contract doesn't subtract his buy out from other coaching income, he'd be a great option for East Lansing. He can definitely recruit TX and FL and knows how to pay players NIL or otherwise. He's young-ish (58) and probably doesn't want to be done coaching.
That said, EL is a bad job. Michigan gets the top recruits in the state and OSU and PSU regularly poach guys over MSU. Saban had one good year at MSU. Dantonio had a run, but only because of RR and Hoke.

That's a bad job, but NIL money can get kids to switch their fandom real quick. His big issue the last two years was poor QB play. I mean, even above average play would work with the talent they have at A&M.

I think Frames is a better coach than Jimbo. Frames is a terrible game day tactician but he can recruit, and his coordinator hires are usually good. I'm not saying he'd take TAMU to the promised land, but sustained Penn State level performance would be a step up from where TAMU is now.

I heard Frames is 50-16 against all but two B1G teams. And, he’s 4-16 against the other two B1G teams (Michigan and OSU).
Franklin’s in game decisions are stunning. His propensity to go for it on 4th, and for two point conversions - is baffling.

Yep, some of his calls are beyond head scratchers. Still can't believe him going for 2 after his 1st TD and then going for it deep in his own territory in the 4th quarter with 4 minutes and 2 TOs left.
