Iowa @ Maryland on FS1 at 8pm tonight! Who ya got?

Some decent games tonight but one in particular has my eye.  Maryland is on Michigan's schedule late in the season and many of us believe that game to be a trap game of sorts as it is sandwiched between PSU and OSU.  Plus Maryland's offense looks to be legit, especially that passing game.  Taulia Tagovailoa leads the Big Ten in passing yards, touchdowns, and only has 1 interception on the season.  They only beat Illinois by 3 but I watched that game and they moved the ball up and down the field on that team but kept shooting themselves in the foot with mental errors or turnovers.  They could have and should have won that game by more than 3 points.

Anyway, my point is I'm smelling an upset tonight.  Iowa might be the weakest top 5 team in history and  this game a home game for the Terps.  Right now the line is -3 to Iowa and if I were a betting man I'd put all my money on Maryland for the win.

Am I too excited for a Friday night Big Ten game?  Probably.  Do I care?  No.  I think it's going to be a good game with a great atmosphere and I'm going to watch as many of those kinds of games as I can this year since last year was so dreadful in that regard.  Lets go Terps!

I see that Iowa finally figured out how to stuff Kinnick Stadium in the overhead compartment on their plane.

Also, I need an IV of that cutback move directly fed into my veins. Love it.

Anyone else think Kevin Warren was pretty cringe when he visited the booth? Seem to evade almost every direct question they asked him.

Color Analyst [asking after Warren had just touted mental health/student support initiative and during an injury timeout]: What resources are available to guys who get injured like this?

Kevin Warren: *Evasive non-answer*

Iowa's pass defense is designed, to an extent, to generating TOs, but their run this year is absolutely unsustainable.  Like, they're averaging almost 2 a game thus far this year.

After watching MD implode with turnovers and I thought MD offense was fun in the first quarter, I kind of OK with M offense. Probably not a favorite thing to see but I sure will trade conservative calls over turnovers. Hope to see a better M offense tomorrow.

I'm disappointed in myself for not betting a mortgage payment on this game.

Maryland + big game + at home + versus ranked opponent + we just passed the autumnal equinox + Maryland nearing being ranked + blackout + FS1 broadcast + Friday night = 50+ points for the opponent.

It happened in 2019, it happened tonight, and it will happen again in some future year.
