"Sources with knowledge tell TheWolverine.com the injunction has been filed and they expect a ruling “tonight.”

He still looks like an absolute fool across the entire nation for having a judge slap down the first meaningful decision he has made as the Big Ten commissioner.
There is no face saving here.

I mean maybe this is all orchestrated wonder if Vince Mcmahons on retainer with B1G seems like a storyline he’d come up with.
November 10th, 2023 at 6:01 PM ^
I think if this were the case it wouldn't have been filed at 4PM on a holiday Friday. 18 hours before a game at that.
November 10th, 2023 at 6:08 PM ^
It is crystal clear why they filed this when they did anyone dying otherwise is a complete willful moron.
November 10th, 2023 at 6:35 PM ^
You're giving this idiot way too much credit. He has no fucking clue what he is doing. If he did, he would have come out early in the week and said..."let due process run its course". That's really the only thing he could have and should have said. But since he is fucking moron, here we are.
November 10th, 2023 at 7:27 PM ^
You're giving that dumbass way too much credit.
November 10th, 2023 at 5:51 PM ^
It would appear to me, the conference fired a revolver at the University. (Metaphorically speaking, of course.) The university is prepared to respond with a machine gun, which I am glad to see. By the way thank God Santa Ono is the president of UM, not Dr. Schissel Lord knows how badly Mark would've screwed this one up by now.
November 10th, 2023 at 5:54 PM ^
Schissel probably would have suspended him from Sparty game on.

Schlissel shuts down all athletics

Schlissel shuts down all athletics
November 10th, 2023 at 5:53 PM ^
What has me worried the most is that the little Tit man is probably on the phone right now working back channels with the officiating crews to make sure that Michigan does not win the conference championship. He's going to do everything in his power to make sure that it is rigged.
November 10th, 2023 at 5:57 PM ^
I hear ya but, if this case goes to court, wouldnt Michigan subpoena all records including his calls?
November 10th, 2023 at 5:59 PM ^
To pull this off, Petitti would have to cover his tracks extremely well and have perfect trust that no member of his ref team would snitch. Because the actions you fear wouldn't be colloquially but literally, state and federally, criminal.
Even now, I remain too trusting to expect that stupidity.
November 10th, 2023 at 6:06 PM ^
And, there would probably be some people "associated" with Vegas who would want to have a discussion
November 10th, 2023 at 6:09 PM ^
I fully expect some piece of this to end up in criminal court before its over. There's a lot of stupid going on out there and somebody's going to eventually cross a line if they haven't already.
November 10th, 2023 at 6:29 PM ^
As JJ pointed out, M is one of the least-penalized teams in CFB, so lots of penalties would be out of character and therefore very notable, sorta like Corum's supposed holding call.
The refs would have to have their thumb very heavy on the scale to give PSU what it would need to consistently move the ball on M. So from both perspectives, it would be so blatant from a refereeing standpoint that 2016 would absolutely pale by comparison.
That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if the refs called everything they saw M do and swallow their whistle for PSU. M is going to have to keep the game out of the refs' hands.
November 10th, 2023 at 6:06 PM ^
I'll second that.
November 10th, 2023 at 6:02 PM ^
Epic quintuple bird of the week.
November 10th, 2023 at 5:56 PM ^
If the injunction fails, I would get JH extension done and signed while on suspension to give the conference a big fuck you.
November 10th, 2023 at 6:04 PM ^
So many of our thoughts, precisely.
I could see Harbaugh going to many great lengths to stick with and fight for a Michigan program whose public loyalty to Harbaugh is expressed that loudly.
And I don't see Harbaugh as the kind of guy to allow his detractors to receive what they so obviously want: his departure.
November 10th, 2023 at 6:53 PM ^
This. I would 100% do this. Fuck these guys in the B1G and that crying bitch Ryan Day running one of the lowest character programs in the country. This is the most unjust and absurd thing I’ve seen.
November 10th, 2023 at 5:56 PM ^
I’m hoping the Maize Rage responds tonight at 6:30 on BTN. If I was still a student attending games, they’d have to mute the entire broadcast.
We’ve entered the “find out” phase of the “fuck around and find out” equation.
November 10th, 2023 at 6:11 PM ^
I can't wait for the discovery phase of "find out".
November 10th, 2023 at 6:20 PM ^
All the Big Ten coaches who called for Harbaugh’s head on a pike, I wonder if they just assumed Michigan would roll over and play dead when the punishment came down.
If this goes to court, which it seems like it will, all of them are going to discovery, and I’d be willing to bet there are more than a handful of Big Ten programs who have shit going on that they don’t want seeing the light of day.
If Michigan is going down, it won’t be before Michigan burns the Big Ten’s whole house down, with everyone else still left inside.
November 10th, 2023 at 6:05 PM ^
Filed in Eastern District of Michigan. Federal Court.
November 10th, 2023 at 6:14 PM ^
You sure? This would make Thamel wrong again, so that can’t be right
/s
November 10th, 2023 at 6:24 PM ^
Haven't seen this elsewhere, but a simple Wiki search identifies that court's seated judge as Sean Cox (Bachelor of General Studies, Michigan, 1979).
November 10th, 2023 at 6:18 PM ^
If we don't get the injunction. I would boycott the rest of the season. Suit up for the game and just stand on the sidelines. Who cares at that point. The league and the conference wrecked it. They'll make sure the refs fuck us anyway.
November 10th, 2023 at 6:22 PM ^
With Harbaugh being the Uber competitor he is, I can’t imagine he’d want or condone his players doing this.
It’s their call of course, but I have to believe they want nothing more than to get out on the field.
November 10th, 2023 at 6:28 PM ^
I think the players - the staff - want to knock this out of the park - and win on the field - against anyone / everyone they play.
My only concern is - not being wound up too much.
One play, series, and game at a time. Go Blue!
November 10th, 2023 at 6:31 PM ^
MeanJoe... You are my favorite poster on this board, but I can't agree with ya here.
What is this all about, and what is the last thing the Little 13 wants to see? It's Michigan winning the championship AGAIN!
The correct response is to clobber these fools (again), take the trophy out of Little Tony's hands, and shove it up Cryin' Ryan's ass until he sings "Hail To The Victors!"
THEN, we can discuss the exit strategy. GO BLUE
November 10th, 2023 at 7:17 PM ^
You're right. But if the refs start to blatantly screw us then I would boycott. You need to hit the BigTen right in the revenue any way possible.
November 10th, 2023 at 6:21 PM ^
On a related topic, there’s been mention of a spreadsheet the NCAA provided the B1G that proves something. Does anyone have any insight about this?
My guess / assumption is - it might contain a list of games, teams, & dates - perhaps seat numbers - that Scalions purchased tickets to.
November 10th, 2023 at 6:31 PM ^
Read the Commissioner's statement. He purports to describe it there.
November 10th, 2023 at 6:26 PM ^
Unfortunately I think this will probably stand and Harbaugh will stay suspended. The turmoil has caused a lot of mental stress on the entire team, and at some point I think they will play poorly and lose. Hate to say it but OSU is getting everything they wanted. Lastly, most people just accept what the pundits say and Michigan is still the bad guy in their eyes, even if this is all proven false later on.
I hope I am wrong on all of this.
November 10th, 2023 at 6:37 PM ^
Oh you're wrong. Even if he is suspended, the team is going to be laser-focused and super-pissed. It won't distract them, it will focus them more.
November 10th, 2023 at 6:58 PM ^
You are more than likely wrong on both accounts, there is very little valid argument on the side of the Big Ten for UM not to be granted the injunction and no guarantee this team is able to win it all but if they lose a game it won't because they will mentally allow this to get in their way.
