with regard to the offense. OC outranks the passing game coordinator. Will he get paid more? I guess we'll know soon enough. Assistant head coach implies to me some administrative duties. Either that or is just a title. Fred Jackson was assistant then associate head coach for nearly the entire time Carr was HC. I think it was a nod to his experience that gave him extra pay. He wasn't calling plays and he was still paid less than the coordinators.

Also could be just and title thing with no impact whatsoever on actual game plan/play calling responsibilities.

Or it might signal a slightly different role than Fisch had, either administratively and/or in terms game plan and play calling role.

Not really concerned about it.  Just caught my eye that they are putting the 'Assistant Head Coach' title on Hamilton.

Serious question because I have not looked to deep into his coaching career.  Someone posted where the offenses ranked on teams he was a coach.  If I remember correctly those stats seemed drastically diffrent with Andrew Luck and without.  Still appears to be an upgrade from Jedd Fisch but makes me wonder.

Live in Cleveland (yes, I know). I am telling you, no one has did more with less since MacGuyver. Sometimes I think he printed up a QB on a 3D printer, ran him out there, and got production. Hue Jackson gets some credit on that front too, but this guy managed an interesting and bizarrely effective offense on a train wreck of a team (talent-wise).

Great hire, IMO.

Great news!!! Awesome pick up.

Harbaugh's ability to hire great coaches is unreal. I'm serious. I've NEVER seen anything like this.

Welcome aboard Pep! Time to go to work!

Great hire. Not only for his resume but also because I can't imagine any offensive recruit not liking this hire. A desired coordinator from the pros? Not sure why Nico would want to choose Georgia now all things being equal.

This is a mild upgrade over the last regime's WR Coach/Passing Coordinator who is now...a position coach at Colorado State-Pueblo (DII).

EDIT: He was actually picked up by Illinois to coach TEs...but was fired after three months.

The best part about this is the timing... Harbaugh knows recruits and a national audience will be tuned in tonight and Michigan will be mentioned despite not even playing... Absolute genius!

Just as the dead period ends for the final 2+ weeks of recruiting, Pep can visit lots of recruits to introduce himself and outline his expectations of the O. Close this class with a key recruit or two and give the 2018 class a boost. "Fresh from the NFL and I can see your skills being used x ..."
