UPDATE 1: Harbaugh also met with Patterson today (Tues Dec 5), according to Tom VanHaaren:

I was told Harbaugh is meeting with Shea Patterson right now. Of note with Shea, his parents were Michigan fans, his grandpa played for the Detroit Pistons and Shea was at one point committed to Arizona in HS, recruited by Matt Dudek, who is now at Michigan.

UPDATE 2: Michigan pursuing OL Greg Little as well, though unclear whether or not the interest is reciprocated on his end (Sam Webb et al have more details).

how about we just take the really good ones? If the rest want to walk-on, I guess I'm OK with that. Frankly, I don't understand all the hoopla over raiding Ole Miss. They finished 6th in the SEC West. That's like getting excited about getting Rutgers or Nebraskas' players.

What concerns me about Patterson is his 12 INTs in 392 pass attempts. That's 1 for every 33 passes. Peters attempted 64 passes without throwing a pick this year. Small sample size, I know, but Patterson would have thrown 2 INTs in 64 attempts, on average. Patterson has a 60.7% completion percentage for his career so far. I never watched him at Ole Miss so I don't know the answer to this, but is it true they play exclusively shotgun/pistol? Is his completion percentage inflated due to tossing those little touch passes to the WRs that are the functional equivalent of the jet sweep in our offense? Because we don't do that. Also, did he have functional WRs to throw to? We had 1 for Peters.

Ole Miss is dropping all restrictions for any transfers today. Hate to be I told you so guy but I have been saying they will get waivers or this will be a legal fight they will lose. The word is the evidence points to being misled from actual people in power so there is a PR nightmare about to be unleashed on the NCAA if they don't grant waivers. We'll find out more in a bit today anyway. Harbaugh is with Patterson right now so if the interest is mutual (it is), word will come quick on this.

Recruit with character, recruit with cruelty. Looks like Harbaugh has got the hammer down on getting these Ole Miss players to Ann Arbor. Bet he is absolutely chomping at the bit to get to work on the 2018 team and season!! His hard work is going to pay off in a big way, and those who are taking their shots at Michigan and JH better do it now. The future is bright!

WOOHOO! MOAR SEC VULTURE MEAT!

Vulture 1:  "I never knew they had zebras in Mississippi. We should dine here more often!"

Vulture 2:  "Yea, they sure are tasty..."

Vulture 3:  "Hey fellas! I call the eye ball!"

just needs to come out and grant these kids unlimited transfer and drop any restriction. It is absurd that they would have to hire lawyers and fight for them to do what is obvious to everybody except those at the NCAA offices.

I thought we were suppossed to be decrying Harbaugh's recruiting antics, and wondering why he isn't focused on preparing the team for it's bowl matchup?

Can we please just decide on a narrative and stick with it!

Usually.  And if it's true Shea is recruiting Little, then human nature says that typically Patterson has already internalized the whole idea of going to Michigan as "it's happening" not, "it's a possibility."  In order to convincingly sell something to sombody, you've gotta be a believer yourself first.

There was a picture of the maize and blue Learjet at the Oxford airport on Twitter earlier, complete with a tweet saying that it should get Michigan Twitter going for "about an hour or so". Pretty sure that any Michigan-clad jet anywhere gets us going for days, no matter the purpose of the visit - we all have experience with this, of course.
