Harbaugh is the best. Cowherd is the worst and Harbaugh gave him nothing. The ultimate troll, that Harbaugh. In my heart Harbaugh knew all the crap Cowherd said and he was paying him back with a real bad interview.

Of course Cowherd goes to "If I'm an 18 yr old kid, I'd pick Urban after that!". Cowherd is the worst.

That was just unbelievable. Harbaugh treated CC like a hostile attorney. That's a classic.

CC said it was the worst interview in 25 years.

Honestly...no matter what your opinion is of Cowherd, he tried everything to make that interview work. Gave him every opportunity to sell Michigan, Jim was disinterested; I don't think it matters as much as Cowherd thinks it does (I mean, how many 18-year-old football prospects are listening to sports talk radio?!).

I listen to Cowherd on a regular basis, he treated Michigan the Michigan faithful like shit before and during the hire.  He even gave a half hearted apology after the hire.  Cowherd doesn't like Michigan and never has.  Harbaugh was not going to show any respect to Cowherd for all the bullshit he has given Michigan over the years.  Any recruit is not going to give a shit to what Cowherd has to say about Michigan.

Cowherd can have some good stuff on his show that I like, but when it comes to Michigan it's like oil and water.  Media types are going to side with Cowherd because they all stick together. Harbaugh basically gave the finger to Cowherd.  The whole thing was pretty funny.

Cowherd has praised both the Harbaughs every time he speaks of them. He didn't think JH was going to take a step down and go to UM, but that's because he felt JH was to good to go back to college coaching. But since it happened Cowherd has been nothing but supportive in his comments. Everyone should stop making excuses to make themselves feel better. JH elected to go on the show with good intentions. It just turns out that he is not able to talk like a normal human being. Cowherd did what he could to help him, to lead him to subject matter, but JH is just a idiot. Today he was a idiot for all of America to witness. This is the only sight where folks think Harbaugh wasn't a complete goof. Every other website and media outlet all say that same thing. That basically Harbaugh was so dumb and dense that Cowherd had to hang up on him.

And they trust the person they met and have the relationship with, not someone's opinion of that person.  And most recruits have a passing knowledge of who Cowherd is.  I only know of him because I have satellite radio.

I'm not sure if the CAPS and "devour" talk is sarcasm, but this is only a topic because there's nothing else to talk about.

directly opposed personalities. Cowherd is the fast smooth talker that you think is full of shit and JH was the more grounded and personable. It was a barrage of meaningless questions. I think if Cowherd would have just talked with him instead of asking a bunch of stupid questions "where were you when you first decided to go to Michigan?" The interview would have gone better. Of course I would have said "on the toilet where I do my best thinking, next question."

But, yes, they were clearly talking past each other.  The buy or sell concept is used a lot in sports talk radio, but from other things he has said Harbaugh clearly has his focus elsewhere and while he finally figured out what Cowherd was asking, he still didn't seem to fully get the concept.  I listen to Cowherd a few hours a week in the background when I am working and he regularly talks about buying or selling.

listen to Cowherd, I thought Cowherd was insulting the B1G at first, too, by implying either that the BIG as a whole was a bad conference or that the other teams in the B1G besides PSU, UM and tOSU were.  After Cowherd explained, I figured he used an ambiguous word in order to manufacture a confrontation (which is probably giving Cowherd too much credit).

But given the context of Cowherd's show that you provided, the 'buy' word choice makes more sense.

The problem was in the way the question was phrased. I think his exact words were "is the Big 10 a buy?" Harbaugh (and I) thought Colin was suggesting that the conference, or a large portion of it, was soft. The interview wasn't spectacular up to that point but it was as I would expect a Harbaugh interview to be. It went down hill quickly after that point.

but that isn't ideal. harbaugh has a job to do on these interviews and he didn't do it. he just wasted 10 minutes of his time.
