Jim Harbaugh called Michigan to inform the school that, despite interviewing with the Vikings today, he will be returning to school for the 2022 season, sources tell ESPN. Michigan was, in the words of one source, “elated” to get Harbaugh’s decision.

Very happy as long as we:

1. Give him Mel/Franklin contract

2. Make the buyout to leave quite high to show recruits Jim is serious about staying

3. Focus on 2022!

A wise person once said that 99% of the things you worry about in life never happen.  Not so sure that is true, but it does make life much more enjoyable.  Kinda glad I didn't send an email to the regents :)

He is just a few hours away from being beloved again. Simple framing, a few quotes, and something about actions speaking louder than words. We will all be eating out of his hand by Friday.

I have a great mental exercise I go through each time I find myself stressing or worrying about something... helps almost every time.  4 questions.

1) CAN I do something about it?

If no, don't worry about it.  If yes, #2

2) Is it WORTH doing something about it?

If no, don't worry about it.  If yes #3

3) Is now the RIGHT TIME to do something about it?

If no, address it when the timing is right, in the meantime don't worry about it. If yes #4

4) Am I doing everything I can to address it?

If yes, continue and don't worry about it.  If no, then do what you can and then don't worry about it

In this case, I stopped at #1

Wait a minute here. You’re trying to tell me everyone who claimed it was a done deal or ‘obvious’ that he wanted out had absolutely no fucking clue what they were talking about? Who woulda thought . . .

I think in a few weeks, this will basically be forgotten. If this is where he wants to be for good, and it sure sounds like that, it can put to rest any potential future speculation.

In a weird way, this may have been the best thing for Michigan. Harbaugh explored it, did the interview process, and it didn't work out. Maybe he decided he didn't want to leave, maybe the NFL didn't want him- who knows.

I cannot fault the dude for taking the interview. But now, he needs to basically put his foot down and say I'm done with looking at the NFL; I'm here, let's do this.

Vikings: So Jim, what terms are you asking for?

Jim: All personnel decisions and $10 million per year

Vikings: here is your plane ticket home

Jim (to Warde): they offered me a great deal but I have decided to stay at Michigan

I thought he was gone. I'm stoked he's staying!

Hopefully this will end the speculation and we can get down to the business of winning!

Jim Harbaugh is a terrific football coach - I'm happy we have him, still!

This is great. I’m not sure which I would prefer. He comes back and acts like nothing was happening or he just acts like a complete lunatic and immediately sleeps over at a recruits house.

He didn’t get the offer. So now, he is forced to be our coach again. And people are legit happy that we now have a coach who would rather be elsewhere but is stuck here.

I didn’t think he was going, then was convinced he was. This is great news, especially that this wouldn’t be a re-occurring issue. All the chips pushed to the middle, LET’S FUCKING GO!!!
