At least not on scholarship (he may be rated highly as a JUCO, I personally doubt he's the best JUCO prospect at his position). That doesn't mean that Harbaugh wouldn't take some time to talk with him (especially with Harbaugh's connections with the family), spend some time discussing what he needs to do and what are the options for his future, and possibly reach out to other coaches at various levels to see about him landing somewhere.

Harbaugh is also the sort of person that would do the call not only to help a talented kid get back on course, but also to give that kid a chance to stir up interest by giving an impression that Michigan's in the mix.

Plus, that tweet will drive a certain portion of the MSU fanbase a little batshit, which isn't a bad thing.

I took a stab at which post had the offending HTML, so if you find that you post in this thread is gone, it certainly isn't because of anything you did....well, other than insert broken code into this thread.

For quoting articles, it's easier to copy the text, paste it here in Plan Text Mode, and then italicize it to denote it is from another source.

If academically qualified players want to come to UM, the coaches want them, and they can help the team, then I don't care where they come from.

Because he has a flakey history in that failed out of MSU and then was denied entry a second time, all the while twice committing to UCLA before ditching them for MSU again.  The rumors are that his main issue with UCLA was he didn't like the academics.  It's not pearl clutching to think that the upside is not worth the potential downside given his history.

The only Juco I remember in the past 10 years is Austin Panter who I think was from somewhere in Kansas. I don't remember him playing a lot, but gave us some depth at LB.

I don't know the guy, but for whatever reason, I followed his story pretty closely: Peat left MSU, seemingly in academic trouble, attended a JUCO to fix that, then tried to return but the most reliable rumors held that he had either not taken the right courses or hadn't completed enough of them (strangely these rumors explicitly excluded the possibility that he hadn't earned sufficiently high grades) to be reinstated in June in good academic standing.

It's based on one tweet from a troubled ex-player with a completely non-specific and vague statement at the end and extrapolating it into "JH changing his tune on JUCOs." It's even more clownish than the "Peters is transferring" horseshit.

On top of the fact that anybody with the barest knowledge of Michigan football knows that getting JUCOs into UM is extremely difficult even for non-athletes with good credentials because UM's standards for transferable credits are very stringent. Now we're talking about a kid who basically failed out of MSU for chrissakes?

Jesus H. Christ. It's like the offseason here.

Lurker and first time commenter here. Parallel trivia: what are four universities in which the name of the school (not the mascot) are an actual color? Two are easy and two are a slight stretch. (I apologize if this isn't quite the proper forum for the question.)
