George Rooks officially signed

All recruits are in and have sent their NLI. Barring any last minute additions, this concludes the 2021 recruiting cycle and all attention now focuses to the 2022 class and the transfer portal.

To get taste I took a quick bath in sparty tears at their forums today (yes I feel ill and may have caught something)

There's a debate going on if they should continue losing Michigan recruits to the "cult" of UM, or cut bait and take their national brand and recruit harder in Georgia and Texas lol

Not just that but also with a coach that is 'on the hot seat'...'ready to leave for the NFL'. And even more..a mass overhaul of the coaching staff to boot. And yet...top 10 class.

I damn sure hope Harbaugh turns it around w this staff...because it could be a really fun ride if you combine the apparent recruiting chops of the staff with a top 5-10 ranking at the end of the season/OSU win/Conf championship/etc.

Glad everyone signed!  The three DT's today were of so much importance it cannot be overstated!  Now attention turns to MGoBlogger Transfer Portal to bring us some immediate help at CB and LB.  And maybe a DT, too?

Mohammad Diallo has to be the top target on the board. These DTs are great, but they will take time to mold. Diallo will be an immediate contributor and a true NT.

Im not as worried about CB and LB though proven reinforcements would be welcome. Both positions seem to have established starters but they all need to take the next step forward in their development. Backups behind them have very little experience so I’m hoping they get some playing time early in easier games.

People are sleeping on Mazi & Hinton this year.  It's been frustrating that we haven't had anybody in front of them other than a converted Kemp the past 2 years.  But DTs take time and these guys are just getting into their 3rd year in the program.  Last year barely counts as well due to no Spring Ball, no fall camp, etc.

I expect these guys to both show out this year - they were both top 100 recruits for a reason.

Rooks has great upside as a DE for a 3-4.   Benny and Ike should be 0 or 3 tech as needed in 3-4 or 4-3.  Also think TJ will be an excellent DE in a 3-4. Waiting to see how Guice fits and how much weight he can carry to decide if DE or NG.
