No soccer on Saturday for the first time in like two months. That means I get to sleep in then wake up and watch gameday followed by Michigan football, Go Blue!! Also the participation in trick or treating last night was terrible and now I have a bunch of left over candy that I will most likely sit around and eat.

Need to win this one comfortably. Would like to see Dillon get some reps just in case he is needed down the stretch. Also, wouldn’t mind seeing Christian Turner get some carries to build confidence in him back up.

That's true, much like most of the made-up holidays that get listed on the National Day Calendar website. As for National Jersey Friday (the first Friday in November), according to that website, the "National Football League Players Association founded National Jersey Friday to bring fans together on a single day in November and celebrate by wearing their favorite football player’s jersey."

If you think about it, many of these made-up holidays might be paying homage to Festivus.

We learned the hard way that there are new post op pain control protocols where they really try to limit narcotics, so you only get motrin and Tylenol. This is exactly what happened to my wife after her c section in January. As a result she was in so much pain a few days after that she ended up back in the hospital. They're so paranoid about drug addiction that they make normal patients suffer because of the small number that abuse prescription drugs.

Staying home today in a continuation of the effort to make a crappy Halloween into a better one for the kid.  Rain kept us in last night, so we're doing a bunch of stuff to ease the disappointment.  Its amazing how well we can read our kids - despite that they say and act like everything is great, the disappointment was palpable.

Here's to an easy win tomorrow, lots of PT for backups that need it, and no poorly burned redshirt games (two plays to run out the clock - why?)!

BTW, the Nats victory parade down Constitution Ave is also tomorrow afternoon - it'll be happening as the game is being played.  The two locations are far enough from each other that there shouldn't be any impact.  But the Metro trains and buses may be running a little behind, and a little full.  Just something to keep in mind if you're heading to College Park!

Good call.  The green line stops at L'Enfant and Navy Memorial will likely be jammed with people but once outside of the city it should not be too bad.  I live in the district so likely opting for the parade as opposed to the game.  To be certain, I will be decked out in Michigan gear confusing most people surrounding me.

We got here Tuesday to visit with our daughter in D.C.  But I'm museumed-out after two days and I'm ready for the game.  First though we're heading out to Annapolis for some crab cakes today.  Then we'll be setting up a tailgate tomorrow a.m.  Go Blue!

Edit: SVSU Cardinals.

Re-Edit: Saginaw has a 7’2” freshman from the Netherlands. Maybe Austin Davis or Jarron Faulds get tested in mop-up time.

Up early to fly back to GR for the weekend to celebrate my mom’s 80th birthday. I’m grateful she’s healthy and going strong. Bang bang and GO BLUE!
