Time to get the backups some reps - they will need it.

Crab cakes and football!
November 1st, 2019 at 6:32 AM ^
No soccer on Saturday for the first time in like two months. That means I get to sleep in then wake up and watch gameday followed by Michigan football, Go Blue!! Also the participation in trick or treating last night was terrible and now I have a bunch of left over candy that I will most likely sit around and eat.
November 1st, 2019 at 6:34 AM ^
Keep grinding with that "playoff hockey" type mindset we've seen over the last six quarters.
November 1st, 2019 at 6:37 AM ^
Need to win this one comfortably. Would like to see Dillon get some reps just in case he is needed down the stretch. Also, wouldn’t mind seeing Christian Turner get some carries to build confidence in him back up.
November 1st, 2019 at 8:44 AM ^
Hate to tell you, but A.J. Dillon actually decommitted and went to Boston College instead :/

Keep focus. Kill em 52-3
November 1st, 2019 at 6:54 AM ^
Why 3? You feeling generous this morning? Maryland doesn't need the good feels - we're still celebrating the Nats win out here!!!
November 1st, 2019 at 9:06 AM ^
The parade is at 2PM on Saturday and most locals will go to that. I suspect most of the people attending the game will be rooting for Michigan. I agree with you, Michigan should blow them out.
November 1st, 2019 at 9:13 AM ^
Might be over 500K for the parade....

It's National Jersey Friday, MGoBloggers! Break out your best Michigan gear (and for those in the Washington, D. C. area, just for today, it's okay to break out your Nationals gear) and GO BLUE!
November 1st, 2019 at 7:59 AM ^
I'm not sure, but this sort of seems like a made up holiday.
November 1st, 2019 at 2:44 PM ^
That's true, much like most of the made-up holidays that get listed on the National Day Calendar website. As for National Jersey Friday (the first Friday in November), according to that website, the "National Football League Players Association founded National Jersey Friday to bring fans together on a single day in November and celebrate by wearing their favorite football player’s jersey."
If you think about it, many of these made-up holidays might be paying homage to Festivus.

I believe Shredder said it best: “”[tomorrow] I dine on turtle soup!”
Happy Friday! Hoping the offense continues looking crisp!

My son is having his tonsils out today. Extra bangs would be appreciated.
November 1st, 2019 at 8:17 AM ^
Extra bangs AND prayers for your son this morning!
November 1st, 2019 at 8:54 AM ^
You better get the extra large of package of “Bomb Pops”. Because they are popsicles that soothe a post-op throat. And because it fits with the posbang theme. Your son needs a Bomb Pop bang.
November 1st, 2019 at 9:39 AM ^
I guess no flashing today?
November 1st, 2019 at 9:46 AM ^
Weird coincidence, my son had his out yesterday. We are currently watching movies and eating ice cream sandwiches this morning. Kind of a rough night for him after the pain meds wore off in the middle of the night. Good luck today
November 1st, 2019 at 10:14 AM ^
We learned the hard way that there are new post op pain control protocols where they really try to limit narcotics, so you only get motrin and Tylenol. This is exactly what happened to my wife after her c section in January. As a result she was in so much pain a few days after that she ended up back in the hospital. They're so paranoid about drug addiction that they make normal patients suffer because of the small number that abuse prescription drugs.
November 1st, 2019 at 7:05 PM ^
That seems crazy for a c section. I broke my wrist a few months back and they gave me fentanyl, and vicodin in the ER (which I needed) and a prescription for oxycodone (which I did not.) There's no happy medium.

GO BLUE!
November 1st, 2019 at 7:02 AM ^
Staying home today in a continuation of the effort to make a crappy Halloween into a better one for the kid. Rain kept us in last night, so we're doing a bunch of stuff to ease the disappointment. Its amazing how well we can read our kids - despite that they say and act like everything is great, the disappointment was palpable.
Here's to an easy win tomorrow, lots of PT for backups that need it, and no poorly burned redshirt games (two plays to run out the clock - why?)!
BTW, the Nats victory parade down Constitution Ave is also tomorrow afternoon - it'll be happening as the game is being played. The two locations are far enough from each other that there shouldn't be any impact. But the Metro trains and buses may be running a little behind, and a little full. Just something to keep in mind if you're heading to College Park!
November 1st, 2019 at 10:39 AM ^
Good call. The green line stops at L'Enfant and Navy Memorial will likely be jammed with people but once outside of the city it should not be too bad. I live in the district so likely opting for the parade as opposed to the game. To be certain, I will be decked out in Michigan gear confusing most people surrounding me.

We got here Tuesday to visit with our daughter in D.C. But I'm museumed-out after two days and I'm ready for the game. First though we're heading out to Annapolis for some crab cakes today. Then we'll be setting up a tailgate tomorrow a.m. Go Blue!
