So you bought both Blue Moon and Oberon (very similar beers), with Blue Moon being the single most common gateway beer to craft beer and Oberon basically being the same thing but better, and you've come to the conclusion that Blue Moon is >> Oberon. I'm not in the habit of ridiculing one's beer choices, but this did give me a literal lol.

It's the first truly beautiful weekend of the summer in Michigan. If you're not drinking Oberon then I won't be mad at you, I won't argue with you, I only feel sorry for you.

hope i don't offend anyone, but its close to undrinkable.  beloved mgobride said she wanted to try it so i bought a 6-pack to try it.  not digging it.  i'd drink it if i was on a some crazy wilderness trip and that was all the booze we had packed in, but that's about it.   i know many of you are beer officionados with the crazy name brews (black star zombie fizz death cherry reaper ale...), and i can't imagine this stuff is high on our list.

The original version on tap was quite good. The alcohol cut the sugar. That stuff was a big hit at the Naperville Ale Fest a few years ago. Sad to hear the toned down bottle version is bad. Guess I'll go back to drinking Hires root beer which has been one of my favorites since childhood. No booze, but good root beer.

Well, we're not quite there yet, at least according to the results of my last echocardiogram. We're not there when it comes to getting the clearance to drink again, that is, but I am sure that my fellow MGoBrethren will pick up the slack for me. I may need to sneak a glass of wine later when my wife is not looking, for it is she that tries to keep my honest with these restrictions.

Hopefully you have a good weed hookup. If not, I've always wanted 1,000,000 MGoPoints, so maybe we can work something out? /I quit drinking. And a whole bunch of other stuff. Lost 13 lbs in the last 2 months. About 20 more to go before women, and men, start hitting on me again.

A growler of Rivertown Brewery's Death. A Russian imperial stout brewed with jolokia peppers. I'm usually not a fan of hot peppers in beer, they just never seem to present a cohesive drink, just too much going on, but this isn't bad, a decent stout with a backend kick of heat.

Smooth by my standards and not too expensive. Jim is awesome and that whole team is going to do great things. Somethings been eating at me and I need to get it off my chest. I have little kids telling me that Jabrill needs to play more or mostly offense next year. I'm starting to believe it myself. I mean isn't the defense going to be pretty stout regardless? I think in the big games you have to give him maximum touches to build a lead. This needs to be discussed more before the season.

Edit: I honestly don't believe there is a more elusive and dangerous player with the ball. Not to mention the focus that has to get put on him to stop him. We have already witnessed how that can free up everyone on that side of the ball. That McCaffrey kid at Stanford and Fournette at LSU are maybe more dangerous.

Grimm Purple Prose a bit ago.  Off to consume so other tasty treats around town.

I hear Bell's Grandslam is on tap somehwere, oddly enough (I'm in Iowa).  May go try it, though Hopslam really isn't my cup of tea (one pint a season is enough, usually go for pale ales and single IPAs).
