Best of luck to Zeb. I can see him tearing it up in the Atlantic 10.

Slightly off topic, I just saw that LSU had another player enter the transfer portal, their 11th to do so since Wade was fired. Add this to the 2 players that declared for the draft and that leaves LSU with exactly ZERO scholarship players on their roster. Holy shit this is funny.

I'm annoyed he didn't start this year, as a continuation.  May have been better off until Jones got things going.  This one I just don't understand. Zeb looked good to me.

Well for starters he was injured/I’ll to start the season. And I’m sure that also impacted how much he worked out and practiced with the team. I also liked the upside of Zeb, but I mean we never saw all too much when he got on the court. I think he can be a good player, especially at a mid-major level. But, there was just no way to expect him to be a starting guard this past season.

I doubt we'll ever find out the details, but I've wondered whether the issues were more mental/emotional or physical (playing time, ability to compete). His competition on the team all had some big gaps, and it seemed like he could be an emerging star w/ a solid off-season.

I saw Zeb play a couple of times when he was in high school when Montverde came to NJ to play some of the elite teams. I was hoping he would make it at Michigan but wish him good luck at VCU.  One of the reasons I was rooting for him at Michigan was that Zeb is a great dunker--made some special dunks in the layup line before the games that I watched.

Assuming that Nunez and Johns are gone, he’s the last player with ties to Beilein (unless there’s some walk ons).

It’ll never happen, but I’d love if he came back and got a role as a shot coach.  A summer working with him would do Frankie, Caleb et al a world of good

I had high hopes for Zeb at Michigan. He seems really talented.  I knew he had injuries and maybe other setbacks but I didn't know he was transferring.  I wish him the best and will be rooting for him.

Not sure there have been any comparisons to a Top-100 4* that was in the program for almost 2 years and so little to go off of.

He had some good minutes in Rd 1 last year vs Texas Southern, but aside from that all we had was garbage time minutes where his length and first step stood out, and his shot looked awkward.

Would have loved to see him stay if it was right for him. His limited time this year could have probably afforded him a redshirt + his Covid year he could have essentially “started over” next year. A 3 guard group of Collins, Bufkin, and Zeb would have been intriguing

I was always hopeful Zeb would workout at PG for us. He's tall and lefty and smooth. I remember being really excited when he signed. I will be following him at VCU and wish him all the best. This kid will be special I believe.

Also Phil Martelli's son is on the coaching staff at VCU, I'm sure that connection played a role. Glad to see it workout.

When Michigan fans “see something” in a player it tends to be in unison. Much like Johns in the tourney last year I just dont see it with Zeb. I hope im wrong because id love to see him do well but he has two seasons under his belt and maybe a couple dozen points?

Solid choice.  VCU plays in a decent conference and has a good amount of recent success.  Have a very nice arena for that size school.  Plus VCU is in a really cool part of Richmond.  Right between the fan district and downtown.  I am somewhat bias since I lived there for a time, but Richmond is a really underrated city in my opinion.

Good Luck Zeb!
