Eyabi Anoma late drama

Submitted by ThatGuyCeci on

Michigan men and women of MGoBlog.. there is late smoke that Anoma is leaning to Michigan as noted by Brian on the front page, according to Sam Webb and Brian Dohn at 24/7.  Announcment time is 2pm eastern.. could be the biggest signing day upset in favor of UM in recent memory.. possibly even the top flip pro UM of all time. 100% crystal balls are on Bama at this time.

EDIT: trolled again, nothing to see here.

Literally every time we miss out on a recruit there's people here who immediate say "bagman". It's fairly obviously why kids would choose to go to Alabama, OSU, Clemson, etc. Like lawyer12 says - if we lose out to a school like Arkansas or Ole Miss, then the bagman claims may be correct

as Najee said last season, "I chose Alabama because right now their football program is better than Michigan's."  No subterfuge, just a young man making a wise decision.

Just because Alabama is the best football program in the country right now does not mean they aren’t also paying their players. Having attended both, I can tell you that the players at Alabama all drive nice, new cars. No premier Alabama player would need to drive an Uber like Hurst. Every Alabama fan I have met is proud that they pay their players, and will tell you that Michigan does too, because everyone does. They simply have a different mindset about it than do Michigan fans.

Army AA and 4-star OL Tyrone Sampson from East English Village Prep just decommitted from Syracuse. 6-3/295.

247 is all over the place in describing him—he's referred to as an OC, an OL, and even a DT. I don't know enough about him to have an opinion on that, but he does have a Michigan offer amidst an somewhat unimpressive offer list, considering his credentials.

Have no clue whether he's somebody Michigan is going to go after now, but at least he's a local kid, not somebody we'd be trying to pull from outside the region.

Thankful for all of those calling out the Money / Bagmen comments.  If you didn't really care about school, knew you were a can't-miss pro prospect, and had no familial connection to Michigan, why on Earth would you not go to Alabama over Michigan in 2017?

No such thing as a “can’t miss” prospect or as some call it “sure thing.” Shit does happen, like, injuries, playing time, coach’s doghouse, drugs, alcohol, crime, grades, poor development, coaching changes, family problems, etc... A Michigan education is damn solid in comparison. I’m sure guys like Jordan Elliott, Da’Shawn Hand, Chris Clark, Dee Hart, etc... thought they were sure fire 1st round picks once upon a time.

Hand remains the crazy one to me in that list.  He really looked like an elite lineman, and then he goes to Alabama and he doesn't improve at all.  It's not like he was just submarined by elite players around him (though Alabama has guys there too).  He had multiple opportunities to see the field and never really made an impact.

his friend who was an assistant on a PAC12 team who told him whenever the $EC gets involved with a player they just moved on because they couldn’t compete with the money.

Drama was just bullshit. This years class for Michigan doesn’t have any top tier recruits (i.e top 3 at a position). But next year s class is off to a great start so there’s that

Harbaugh will be getting in all 5 stars. Once he wins the B1G and reach the playoffs and possibly wins a NC in the 2019 season, then the 2020 class is going to be big! Harbaugh may have to turn away some 4 star kids.
