TX trying to upset OSU. How does a TX team with less talent best a ranked team on the road?
oh wait ... no ‘constraints’? No. That’s not it. Money cannon? No. That’s not it. Powerhouse in their conference sucks up all the recruits? No.
Better coaching with lesser ranked players?
October 31st, 2020 at 7:52 PM ^
No home field advantage in the b1g sucks. Eat shit, Warren.
October 31st, 2020 at 8:22 PM ^
You know that goes both ways right? No home field but there isn’t a loud ass crowd on the road either.
October 31st, 2020 at 7:53 PM ^
And OSU already up 7-0. It’s hard to imagine how big the gap between us and our main rival has become since Harbaugh became coach. How does he not see he’s not the guy for this program? The loss today is simply indefensible. Bye bye harbaugh. That December press conference to announce his hiring, I had actual tears.
October 31st, 2020 at 8:31 PM ^
Gotta win some to be considered a rival
October 31st, 2020 at 8:00 PM ^
Can’t wait to see what osu does to us! It’s gonna be fun
October 31st, 2020 at 8:01 PM ^
Penn State puts their corner on an island and an OSU TD because Fields is an NFL level talent. Wonder if Don Brown is watching this...
October 31st, 2020 at 8:04 PM ^
Don Brown is already looking for his next gig. Oh wait .... that was a day dream.
October 31st, 2020 at 8:03 PM ^
TX wants this game more to a rival. Play calling looks original.
October 31st, 2020 at 8:54 PM ^
I don't get your Texas love here. They've already lost twice and they've recruited a lot better on paper than OKSU has. I'm not sure where you get the idea that they're some plucky underdog. They were only the underdog because of those two losses.
October 31st, 2020 at 8:05 PM ^
Done with FB maybe some MACtion next month. Harbaugh has poisoned the well of my love.
October 31st, 2020 at 8:09 PM ^
TX trying to upset OSU. How does a TX team with less talent best a ranked team on the road?
I've been a little out of the loop this year, but since when is Texas less talented than OK State?
October 31st, 2020 at 8:20 PM ^
Yeah I’m pretty sure UT has significantly better classes that OSU (NTOSU).
October 31st, 2020 at 8:21 PM ^
They aren't.
But the OPs original point is flawed anyway. Oklahoma State lost because they were -4 in turnover margin. The fact Texas needed overtime to win anyway tells you a lot about the relative strength of the two teams.
October 31st, 2020 at 8:14 PM ^
I lost my appetite for football after watching our trash game. Blah!
October 31st, 2020 at 9:36 PM ^
Lost your appetite? Shoot, I just lost consciousness for a bit watching OSU vs PSU.
October 31st, 2020 at 8:18 PM ^
OSU looks .... well ... like Clemson. I wonder what it’s like watching a team that dominates week in and week out.
October 31st, 2020 at 8:24 PM ^
I know several OSU fans and they know they always have a shot in games even if they get down. When a Harbaugh coached team gets down you can just tell it’s over.
October 31st, 2020 at 8:57 PM ^
That’s not even remotely true. I was in Evanston when a Harbaugh coached team came back from being down 17-0. The year they went to the BTCG. Harbaugh coached teams can have comebacks.
I think what you’re saying is when the team is down against good teams.
October 31st, 2020 at 9:06 PM ^
Last year we were down, what, 21-0 to PSU? And we were a dropped pass away from OT.
Actually the thing that gets me is that we don't seem to snatch victory away from the jaws of defeat much under Harbaugh. We win a lot of impressive blowouts, which is cool. But the dogfight games rarely go our way. Part of it is that we can't seem to run a 2-minute drill properly, which is weird for a team coached by a former star QB.
October 31st, 2020 at 8:33 PM ^
The playoff field needs to be expanded. The media has advanced the idea that if you don't make the playoff, your season is a failure. Well, with only four teams in the playoffs, they're basically telling us our seasons are pointless once we lose one, and definitely twice. That's not a recipe to keep fan interest.
October 31st, 2020 at 10:18 PM ^
I wonder what it is like watching a team filled with 5 stars, instead of watching an overrated Michigan team with a bunch of 3 stars with some 4 stars.
October 31st, 2020 at 10:41 PM ^
Wait so we won that psu game from last year? Yes he beat a Northwestern team that started that season 0-3 I believe. MSU probably not a good team this year but will win some more games.
You could absolutely feel they were going to lose that game after a quarter and a half. Jim Harbaugh teams are soft. That’s why you have players sitting out for bowl games. It’s a product of the culture or whatever line Harbaugh used after beating Sparty. Bottom line: Jim Harbaugh teams can’t handle being punched in the mouth. If they can bully a team they win if they get bullied they fold up and lose.
October 31st, 2020 at 8:38 PM ^
Ryan Day is going to skullfuck Michigan on December 12th. And they’ll be one final score that no matter how bad it is, he won’t apologize for.
October 31st, 2020 at 8:46 PM ^
They’ll have their third stringers in by mid third quarter. We’ll still give up an additional 17 points
October 31st, 2020 at 9:23 PM ^
Apparently he said he would hang 100 pts on us., that looks low to me now
October 31st, 2020 at 8:43 PM ^
Texas already has 2 losses and generally is just as over hyped as us. Not sure that’s should be our goal.
The gap between OSU and the rest of the B1G has become ridiculous
October 31st, 2020 at 9:03 PM ^
OSU is a pro team. Michigan is losing to IU, PSU, OSU. For sure.
October 31st, 2020 at 9:08 PM ^
Honestly I'm not sure who Michigan beats on the schedule at this point. Funny last weekend I was saying that about MSU
October 31st, 2020 at 9:57 PM ^
At this point
Indiana leans L
Wisconsin ???
@Rutgers lean W
PSU L
Maryland W
OSU lol
Only wins I see are Rutgers and Maryland. Depends on how Wisconsin looks sans-Mertz.
November 1st, 2020 at 12:07 AM ^
Why is Indiana a loss? They had less than 200 yards of total offense in regulation against PSU. Penn State gave that game away with missed FG’s, ill-times penalties, and turnovers. Not to mention the td gaffe that cost them the game. Indiana isn’t very good and they certainly aren’t a top 20 team. We will win that game by at least two scores.
the only games that concern me - Wisconsin, if they can even play. Penn State because their strength is our weakness, and OSU (I wouldn’t mind covid causing that game to be cancelled). I might have to drive to Indiana to bet on our boys if they are the underdogs in that game.
October 31st, 2020 at 9:08 PM ^
All those teams will exploit our man coverage defense. If we can pressure the QB, we have a chance...
October 31st, 2020 at 9:08 PM ^
I think we'll beat IU. They really didn't look good against PSU, despite the win. And Harbaugh teams generally do bounce back from losses.
Now I don't know beyond that.
October 31st, 2020 at 9:53 PM ^
IU handled a Rutgers team that outplayed the team that just beat us. Transitive property doesn’t usually work, but it doesn’t bode well either
October 31st, 2020 at 9:21 PM ^
I’m actually still of the mindset that until IU beats us, I still peg us for a win. Yes, logic dictates we lose next week, but IU still has a massive mental block to get past with playing Michigan.
We’ve been to IU what OSU has been to us. Until they prove they can mentally handle getting over that hump, that game is a win.
October 31st, 2020 at 9:24 PM ^
Wisconsin too if that game happens
October 31st, 2020 at 10:20 PM ^
And Wisconsin, even if their starter cannot play. They will still road stump our defense. And we have proven Today we do not have the offensive skill players to keep up with any team we play.
October 31st, 2020 at 9:07 PM ^
Clifford really wanted to eat those boogers.
October 31st, 2020 at 9:16 PM ^
PSU getting some home cooking for a free 3 points.
October 31st, 2020 at 9:20 PM ^
Ohio state doesn’t even look like they’re playing the same sport as Michigan.
October 31st, 2020 at 9:30 PM ^
They’re a JV NFL team. They might be able to beat the Jets, and hang with the Jags and Saquon-less Giants for a few quarters. They’re that good.
Michigan, by comparison, is an FCS team.
October 31st, 2020 at 9:35 PM ^
They’re way better than UM, but to say they could beat the Jets is objectively insane. They would get murdered by every NFL team.
October 31st, 2020 at 9:54 PM ^
Lol. No they're not. The Jets and any other team in the NFL would obliterate any college team
Think of it this way. At best- Ohio State has a team of a few decent NFL rookies and a bunch of other guys younger than that. Compare that with any NFL roster
October 31st, 2020 at 10:22 PM ^
Even the 0-16 Lions team would win easily over OSU.
October 31st, 2020 at 9:39 PM ^
These games are all routs. Give me something competitive!
October 31st, 2020 at 9:52 PM ^
Wilson is going to be a superstar for them. He’s big and fast.
October 31st, 2020 at 9:52 PM ^
Anyone see that fight in the FL game? Yowza.
October 31st, 2020 at 9:53 PM ^
I'm not sure I'm gonna be able to watch the OSU game this year. They're going to torch this secondary worse than usual
October 31st, 2020 at 10:08 PM ^
OSU looks so smooth out there. Kinda how I wish we played. They are confident to the point of fearless.
October 31st, 2020 at 10:23 PM ^
Holy fuck Dotson (minus the clear offensive PI)
DOTSON DOTSON...WE GOT DOTSON
October 31st, 2020 at 10:25 PM ^
Where the fuck do these schools get players who can do what Dotson just did for PSU?
wow.
