Evansville beats #1 Kentucky on their home court
Evansville beat #1 Kentucky on their home court ending a 52-game home win streak against unranked opponents. The announcers in the SEC network were dumbfounded. Me likey!

Everybody knows you never go against the Purple Aces when a number-one ranking is on the line.
November 12th, 2019 at 9:48 PM ^
Indeed; it’s one of the classic blunders. Only slightly less well known than “Never get involved in a land war in Asia...”
November 12th, 2019 at 9:49 PM ^
Inconceivable!!
November 12th, 2019 at 9:56 PM ^
That word you keep using. I dont think it means what you think it means.

No, I don’t mock your pain. I do recommend a lovely Kentucky beverage to deal it.
bourbon is a wonderful adult beverage. I highly recommend it for what ails ya.

Sorry, I should have been clear that the above gif is Coach Cal. I am personally amused though I bear no true ill will toward Kentucky basketball.
November 12th, 2019 at 11:05 PM ^
Oh, I bear great ill will toward UK bball. Coach Cal is a way overrated cheater.
November 13th, 2019 at 8:06 AM ^
I couldn't disagree more. I think he's a damn fine cheater.
November 13th, 2019 at 5:33 AM ^
Life is pain, highness. Anyone who tells you differently is selling something.

You have a truly dizzying intellect.

Just wait til I get started!

Where was I?

Australia.
November 13th, 2019 at 8:04 AM ^
So, what does this say about MSU?
November 12th, 2019 at 9:06 PM ^
College basketball is a finicky bitch ain’t it?
Craziest part is Kentucky basketball alum Walter McCarty is Evansville’s head coach lol
November 12th, 2019 at 9:06 PM ^
Calipari is going to take away bagman allowance for his players this week.
November 12th, 2019 at 9:09 PM ^
How knew that Evansville had better bagmen, really, who knew???
November 12th, 2019 at 9:10 PM ^
McCarty did play for Pitino.
November 12th, 2019 at 9:06 PM ^
Evansville will be #4 in the next college football playoff ranking. Book it!

And yet people will still freak out if we beat Elon 75-69 in our next game. It’s basketball! Does this mean Kentucky stinks? Or MSU is bad? Off course not. In basketball any team can win any game if there’s a hot shooter on one team or the other team can’t make a bucket to save their lives. Fuck Kentucky and msu tho!
November 12th, 2019 at 10:15 PM ^
Whoa there! It may not mean U.K. is bad, but it does mean that Sparty sucks, there is no doubt about that!
November 13th, 2019 at 9:26 AM ^
Exactly. Let's not get too crazy now lol.

We should beat Elon by way more than six. Michigan has a lot of skilled players and great coaches. Elon Musk is just one guy. Plus he'll probably show up high.
November 12th, 2019 at 11:10 PM ^
This guy probably has to pay to get laid. We better not win this game by less than 30.
November 13th, 2019 at 6:27 AM ^
Elon has to get paid to get laid, are you serious? He might pay for it later though, lol
November 13th, 2019 at 8:57 AM ^
If he does have to pay for it , he can easily afford it .
November 13th, 2019 at 12:25 PM ^
He pays for quality not quantity. The exact opposite of Tiger banging Denny's waitresses and paying millions.
November 12th, 2019 at 9:07 PM ^
Hmm what's our streak against unranked teams at home? We've only lost two home games the last two years and both were to ranked Purdue and MSU teams. Seems like it might be pretty long now
November 12th, 2019 at 9:10 PM ^
Seems like it might be pretty long now
November 12th, 2019 at 9:50 PM ^
About 37, if I counted right. OSU in 2017.
November 13th, 2019 at 2:04 AM ^
NJIT was a painful one
November 12th, 2019 at 9:08 PM ^
Evansville must be the hoops equivalent of a service academy...
November 12th, 2019 at 9:09 PM ^
Evansville were 24.5 point underdogs at tip. That’s gotta be the biggest upset in a minute.
Congrats to the Evansville Purple Aces!
November 12th, 2019 at 9:33 PM ^
Unfortunately the last time I can remember a team losing as 24 point favorites was in 2014 (might of been 2015) when NJIT beat us at Crisler.
November 12th, 2019 at 9:45 PM ^
Ouch...yea, about that. Ironically enough, it appears the largest ever was Garner-Webb when they were 26 point underdogs at..... Rupp in 2007.
The NJIT upset is now tied for the 3rd largest with this game tonight.

losing to new jersey barber college was tough, but we salvaged the season.
November 12th, 2019 at 10:40 PM ^
Not... really. That was 2015, when Caris and Walton both missed half the season and the team missed the postseason.
November 13th, 2019 at 6:13 AM ^
Didn't go to the dance.
November 13th, 2019 at 10:05 AM ^
That NJ barber college game was on my birthday. Same day OSU won the B1G to get to the playoff.
Happy birthday Newton, hope you like crap.
November 13th, 2019 at 5:12 PM ^
The MSU "trouble with the snap" game in 2015 was on my birthday. I was there. In person.
November 12th, 2019 at 9:09 PM ^
You love to see it.
November 12th, 2019 at 9:16 PM ^
Amazing, I love seeing them lose, especially at home.
November 12th, 2019 at 9:18 PM ^
Wow. I wasn't even paying attention to this game. Looking at the box score, seems like an ugly low-scoring contest. Interesting.
November 12th, 2019 at 9:20 PM ^
Is that considered low scoring or is it because we are used to Michigan playing at a torrid pace now under Juwan?
November 12th, 2019 at 9:22 PM ^
Ha, yeah I was just going to edit it... I guess it's all a bit relative.
November 12th, 2019 at 9:23 PM ^
SEC - It just means more.

The ESS-EEE-SEE almost got a two-fer, as Auburn needed a buzzer beater (after two offensive rebounds) for a 70-69 win at South Alabama.
They tried to juice their NET ranking with a road victory over a Sun Belt team and almost bit off more than they could chew...
November 13th, 2019 at 7:06 AM ^
Both games were poisoned. But Auburn spent the last several years building up a tolerance.
