Evansville beats #1 Kentucky on their home court
Evansville beat #1 Kentucky on their home court ending a 52-game home win streak against unranked opponents. The announcers in the SEC network were dumbfounded. Me likey!

Posted in another thread, but I am also a UK fan. That game was atrocious. This will be one of the worst offenses Cal will have in his career. The offense he runs has players that cannot effectively do their job, thus, having a flat offense. Unless Maxey is the next Morant, it’s going to be a long year for them. FUCK!

Replay I must watch! College hoops is way more exciting and interesting basketball than the NBA.

Just like College Football is waaaay more interesting than the NFL.
Personally... I don't watch pro sports anymore.

All the individual talent money can buy, and they lose to a *team*.

Should be Evansville beats Kentucky on Kentucky's home court.

AWESOME!!!!
Walter McCarty, former Kentucky guy, beating his alma mater at home. Awesome.
November 12th, 2019 at 10:29 PM ^
Ha! But I still appreciated those guys beating Sparty.

Love it! Kentucky is not dead...only mostly dead.
November 12th, 2019 at 11:10 PM ^
How is this possible? Kentucky just beat the greatest team in the world last week, so shouldn't that make them the greatest team in the galaxy?
November 12th, 2019 at 11:30 PM ^
FYI, last year Evansville finished dead last in the Missouri Valley Conference w/ a record of 11-21.

Grantedm, last year was McCarty's first year there, so that's to be expected. This game could be a complete flash in the pan or maybe he/they are legit (by mid-major standards). Time will tell.

As a (proud) Alumni of the Evansville Purple Aces, I can say that it's probably a bit of both. McCarty has gotten some quality players and transfers this year, but will probably still finish 5th or 6th in the MVC this year.

I’m shocked. MSU fans would have you believe that Uk was unbeatable

This is a ton of fun....and ultimately doesn't matter because Kentucky will still be 17-1 in the SEC come March and still be either a 1 or a 2 seed....which is why a 16-team playoff in football would suck.
November 13th, 2019 at 9:10 AM ^
Huh? Your argument is missing a couple of crucial steps.

In other words, the bigger the end-of-season tournament, the less of an impact an upset loss like this has. We all point and laugh at Kentucky for a couple days and that'll be it. It's a little November sideshow that we'll forget by January. Instead of the loss completely blowing up their championship hopes as a similar loss in football would've done to an Alabama or an Ohio State.
November 13th, 2019 at 12:33 PM ^
OSU football suffered a similar loss to VT in 2014 and still made the playoff. Early losses aren't necessarily fatal to your chances (which is a good thing IMO).

Hopefully, Kentucky gets a few more losses during the regular season. This loss could be a bad omen.

Evansvilles > MSU?
November 13th, 2019 at 9:09 AM ^
This is why I love college basketball! Is this win even more impressive that Appalachian States victory over . . . South Carolina?? I think it is.
Go kick some ass today my friends!!

Good for Evansville! There must be a buzz ongoing all over that town. Would like to see how good that team will be as the season goes on.
