Weird suspension. Available for home games during the suspension.

Yeah, I don't really get this suspension.  So he can't play for 6 road games but he can suit up at home?  That would be a really weird school rule.

Anyway, it's a bad season so might as well just purge it all.

It could just be punitive. I kind of assume the method to the madness has to do with finding time to do the academics by not spending the time on travel and have the on-campus resources as well.

It doesn't explain why he couldn't play at Breslin, that's not really travel. But I guess just for consistency of the terms of the suspension?

It also really sucks for him that he doesn't get to go to Maryland since he's from the DMV. Oh well.

Dug is for sure gone at the end of the year. This team will have nobody worth taking a roster spot next year, so unless we import a brand new team, there is zero reason to keep Juwan around.

I'm not saying Dug shouldn't be suspended, go to class and get good grades, but we suck so bad that there's no reason for him to come back next year. Howard has been a disaster, so you need to cut bait. Next year's roster, even with Dug, looks awful, and without it's a low to mid-major one.

So is the idea to remove travelling so he has more time for academics.... I can see some logic there.  Still not a good look over all and Juwan needs to get it together THIS year.

Suspended for road games, but not home games?!? This is the weirdest suspension I've ever heard of. The offense was bad enough that road games are out of the question, but home games are ok? Weirdness aside, this is a huge blow to what was already a massively struggling team. Upcoming road games were going to be near certain losses with Dug, so obviously little hope without him. Also difficult to see how Dug is going to have the requisite mental focus during the upcoming home games that he does play. He was already not looking very good the last few games, imagine this was playing a role in that and will continue to do so. Man, this team is a real mess. Sidenote, if this is in fact an academic issue, blame also falls on the coaching staff, how you can allow your best player to hover around ineligibility, what kind of oversight (or lack thereof) is going on over there?

This year is definitely lost, so nothing can be done about that, will be lucky if we don't finish dead last this year. Once the season ends, there needs to be a complete overhaul of the entire program. Like many, really wanted this to work, but writing is on the wall (weird off the court stuff like this does not continuously happen with strong/healthy, competently run programs) and it's time to start over.

Jesus we were on such an upswing before this suspension!! We might now lose 6 of the next 8 vs the anticipated 5 of the next 8.

Also where are all the blowers who said Dug was going to the NBA after the first 2 games

I hate being right, but this quote makes me so proud of my decision to never watch a single game of basketball this year.
I know Michigan will turn it around. I know we will be back sooner than later. I’d rather watch the team lose every game while representing the school with all their hearts instead of this crap.
