Don't know. Just seems like some fans want to be hard on M all the time. If we played like MSU did today, there will be doom going on right now. We beat the crap out of Wisconsin and that means they must be just bad. Anyway, not picking on you, but it is never going to be enough for M until they beat OSU.

Outgained again.  Both on the ground and through the air.

we should beat them but their strategy of running into stacked boxes then just heaving it up on 3rd and 7 is giving me anxiety.  (‘Michigan should worry about’)

On the bright side I would say Indiana wasn’t getting much rush at all and they still couldn’t move the ball.  I think we all know Aiden ans Ojabo be much more disruptive.  (‘Michigan can sleep soundly about’)

At at some point, even an elite defense gets got a little bit.  And the offense needs to bail them out and score 30.

Without short fields or defensive TDs, what's Iowa's points ceiling against a team with a pulse?  21?  Maybe?

They had 200-ish yards before garbage time today!

No magic at Kinnick Stadium today. Purdue had all of the magic by playing 3QBs. What a game plan, it was amazing to watch.

Iowa's putrid offense was exposed but credit a stout Purdue defense that has Ron English on that staff.

Not only does #2 ranked team fall, it allows OH State, Mich and MSU to move up. The B1G West division is wide open.

It was fun watching Purdue execute that offense and then win convincingly.

Iowa will drop a bunch of spots.  Everyone thinks they would have lost to PSU but for the Clifford injury.  They don't have the track record of Alabama nor the respect.  The will drop to at least No.9. behind us and MSU.

It was only a matter of time. Props to Iowa anyway. Perdue for that matter too. I always root for Iowa the same reason I root against Texas and USC. Texas and USC have such a recruiting advantage but both suck. Iowa does great with the guys they get.

Voters should have seen what Iowa's offense was. They never belonged in the top 4, probably don't belong in the top 10.

I love you EC, but cmon.

I will give you GA and AL.

But 8 more teams who are definitely better that IA?

You are out ahead of your skis..

My try would be OK, Mi, MSU, then, I'm stuck.

TX, no. Oregon, Probably. Cincy, they don't face enough Purdue level comp as someone said in this thread. Fl, probably not. KY. Maybe.. OK St. Probably not.

IA is just in a stack with 20 other teams behind GA and AL who could beat each other on any day. Does not mean that they didn't deserve their ranking.

This is a crazy year, Cincinnati will be ranked #2 now on Monday. They also have over a 90% chance to win in every single game they play throughout their regular season schedule. How, will the CFP committee keep them out of the playoffs if they don't drop one of those games? Theoretically, they will have stayed at #2 for 5-6 weeks, and I don't think they can ignore that.

CFP. Is not bound by AP polls as far as I know. If no major shake up happens for the next three weeks (?), there is a good chance Cincinnati will not be in the top 4 in the first CFP ranking. Georgia, OK, AL, and winner of M, MSU game or even OSU. I can see Cincinnati at 4 but will not be surprised if they are at 5.

While they may be ranked number two now, they also won’t play anyone good the rest of the year. Meanwhile, UM, MSU, PSU, OU, Bama, and OSU all have a bunch of big games. , even with one loss. Even if Cinci wins out, but has a bad game where they look unimpressive and manage a win, they could easily drop a spot. They need to look dominant in every game to have a chance.

I’d have no issues with Cincy being in the playoff assuming it doesn’t screw us. Say we win out but lose a close game to OSU who blows out the west champ. Bama, Georgia, OSU and us would be awesome. If it doesn’t screw us and does OSU, FUK Em! Take Cincy. Who would probably face Georgia and find out that ND isn’t such a signature win. This all hinges of course on Oregon and Oklahoma losing another game.
