That depends on how you define better job. Hoke may have brought in a lot more kids than Harbaugh will, but if a lot of those kids didn't see much time at Michigan do you still consider that doing a better job?

In addition we have no idea how the kids Harbaugh has gotten will perform down the line. As others have said, Harbaugh seems to be trying to get a higher caliber of player than Hoke did during his shortened recruiting cycle. Why don't we let Harbaugh sign and develop some players before we say Hoke did a much better job in his first month on the job.

Hoke was coaching in college when he got the UM job... actively recruiting and evaluating high school players.  I don't care how good a coach Harbaugh is, the guy didn't have high school players anywhere on his radar until he took this job, and as many of his staff that have come from the NFL as well, they wouldn't have been scouting high school players either.

I was only mildly excited when I thought he was committed to us... can't say I'm too upset about this. If he decides to come here, great. If he decides to play in relative obscurity at WSU, good for him.

So one was a kid running to the media and even his coach saying it didn't happen at all like he said, and now an outside party said a kid committed when apparently that wasn't the case?  At best we have one "misunderstanding" that seems entirely on an overly-sensitive father and one that was caused completely by a third party with virtually no connection to Michigan or the staff save the fact he talks to kids that UM is recruiting.  You are looking for chinks in the armor that aren't there; there will absolutely be issues with any coach, but these two so far shouldn't register on anyone's radar.

Would you rather we load up on CMU's recruits just so you can feel good about people commiting? It's obvious that that stategy didn't work out with Hoke. They all were MAC level players.

We have a full two deep and Harbaugh has a QB he wants. Calm the F down people. If he whiffs on guys next year then lets get our panties in a bunch. He could still land Weber, Marshall, And Clark and that would be a pretty legit class.

He committed...they called and told him "hold on son" it was dependant on Jefferson.

He got mad and is no longer considering Michigan.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Best of luck to the kid, in all honesty, I was underwhelmed even when he did commit (I really like Jefferson).

Weber

Jefferson

Clark

Wheatley

Smith

Adams

...maybe a wild card like the kid from Cass that I think comes to play FB.

Let's shut it down.
