Dax may have bruised his shoulder on the Mertz hit.

Just a guess, but in watching the latest episode of Inside M football, it appeared Dax's left should could have been bruised a bit on that hard hit on Mertz:

Hopefully, he's icing it simply as a precaution.

He kept playing for almost an entire half of the game. Adrenaline is great and can mask a lot of pain, but I'd think if that were a serious injury he wouldn't have kept playing much more than another series or 2 because adrenaline does wear off quite quickly (speak from experience - broken femur, clavicle, and dislocated kneecap all at different times).

Yes there's adrenaline, but also some injuries start to show when the body cools down. I once had my knee rolled on in a hoops game. It was awkward and the trainer checked me out, but I ended up playing the entire game. By the time we got to the bus after the game, it was starting to hurt. When I woke up the next morning, I couldn't put any pressure on it. Sprained ACL.

Absolutely.  I was playing basketball, for our local league.  I was tripped and thought I sprained my right hand (I'm right handed).  I played the rest of the game with my wrist taped up.  Luckily, I could shoot with both hands, and even made 4 three pointers with my left hand, so I left the game on a high note.  I went home and went to sleep, and woke up (several hours later) in agony.  Went to the doctor, and found out that I completely broke my wrist.  I just thought it was a minor injury, when I was playing, because of the adrenaline.

That was a hard-hitting game all around. Corum took/gave some shots too. Nebraska will be no pillow fight either. The bye week and Northwestern come at a good time before the gauntlet.

Didn't see this posted anywhere, field hockey dumps OSU at their place yesterday...

No. 2 Michigan used a third-quarter goal to earn a 1-0 win at No. 18 Ohio State and improve to a perfect 9-0 on the season.
Sofia Southam, the nation's leading scorer, scored the game-winner at the 36:21 mark for her 14th goal of the season. Abbey Tamer with the assist.
U-M held Ohio State to just three shots and none on goal to earn its fourth shutout this season.

The hit Dax put on was savage.  He is not one of the arm tackle DBs you sometimes see.  He hits and will stand up blockers .

Corum is a beast. When he squares his shoulders it’s a brick wall collision

This Michigan team is physical all around.

FINALLY playing tough, so accurate.

other teams would have had issues once wiscy hit those passes at the end of the half but these guys played HARDER.

lmao, this site is full of thirsty users who will find any excuse to make a thread

He's a football player wearing an ice pack! Breaking news: the sky is blue!

Exactly what I was thinking. We're speculating that one of our star players has an injury simply because he's wearing an ice pack after a game? At least half of the guys who saw the field will have some ice on post-game. This is indicative of nothing, CERTAINLY not thread-worthy.

Guesses and speculations and assumptions are not very helpful. Of course, it is possible, but actual NEWS is much, much better than "he MAY HAVE" bruised his shoulder.
