We were motivated. They were motivated. We're tough. They're tough. Blah, blah, blah.

The guy is an excellent coach. Harbaugh is an excellent coach. Flip those turnover results, heck flip the entire storyline from last night, and that's still true.

Everyone knew being minus 5 was going to mean a definite loss. I thought minus even 1 would have made it very tough. Just because of the inconsistencies of our offense.

The hard part is another year. Didn't spend one second rubbing it in to State fans. Just never been about that. It's a game Michigan should win in my mind. But already wishing I would have enjoyed it more.

I mean, it's a nothing quote. He likes to win. Good. So does Michigan. So does every body. Dantonio just is more smug about it against Michigan.

I've read repeatedly about how having NFL coaches may be different than college coaches.  What's Your Deal Harbaugh seemed to take personal satisfaction in beating his opponent.  Post-NFL Harbaugh seems less emotionally invest and more X's and O's invested.

Sometimes a nice big heaping bowl full of hate is good.  Especially with victory and smugness for desert.

And he can say whatever the F he wants. In football, he owns this state.

And until Jim figures out how to put together an offensive line, a good QB, and a good gameplan, that won't change.

I don’t even care that he said this. He should take satisfaction from it. His team should be happy too. It wasn’t like Michigan wanted it. They played 60 minutes of shitty football. If Michigan wants to be something they have to figure out how to come ready every week. It’s been a solid 20 years since we’ve seen that attitude.

Because this quote doesn't strike me as remotely controversial.  Why wouldn't he find it personally satisfying?  Taken within the context of the article (ie enjoying seeing his fans and players satisfied)...I mean seriously folks???  We're gonna try and get worked up over this?

Dantonio did not let his players or his fan base down. He played on the road on national television and beat his top rival with a younger team that struggled badly with a 3-9 record last year. THE Michigan-Michigan State game has significant recruiting impact. He deserves to be satisfied on a personal basis. He did his job.

Dantonio owns U-M. Why shouldn't he crow about it? To the victor goes the spoils. There is a way to shut him up, however. Win. That's won't happen though, for as long as Dantonio is at State, he will always care more about this game than U-M's coaches, players, and fan base at large.

Put the Michigan game  score on his team's Cotton Bowl rings.  He has made a career out of getting his team up to play, and beat Michigan.  Even though I don't like it, I respect his candor on this.

Drevno, Pep, and Harbaugh get personal satisfaction from running an inept offense. So take that Dantonio! I thought we hired King Harbaugh to run smash mouth football? Three TE's and a Fullback that rattles your fillings? That offense is soft as Charmin. Watching this shit show is nothing compared to what he did at Stanford, not even close.

I don't believe him for a minute if that's what he says, but even at that, I wouldn't blame him for being at least somewhat proud of the success he has had against this.

Last night, while I was drinking after the game, I had these terrible thoughts about how this is like when the Tigers, even at their most recent peak a few years back, could not seem to consistently figure out the Twins, a team with a microscopic payroll by comparison but with a weird ability to confound just you - no one else, just you.

Of course, it was in the small hours and I was a bit hammered, but still...

The Disrespekt thing obviously has worked for them, what's ours? I'm so fucking pissed and disappointed in this offensive coaching staff I had to turn the game off with a minute left. We're either going to get fucking murdered next week in Happy Valley or we do what PSU did last year and run the table and build the New and Improved Michigan Identity.

His team beats us (almost) EVERY season even though we should win.  If I'm him, I'm on top of the freakin world!!  The only annoying thing is I don't think in this case he or his team did anything.  We beat ourselves.  The defense made it almost impossible for us to lose that game.  But we may have some of the worst offensive coaches in college football!!!!  And that's what should piss us off.  Not Dantonio being happy he walked into the Big House AGAIN and won a game he should have lost...

I actually liked that Bo (and yes I was living in AA in 1969) had a MF countdown clock on how many days, hours, minutes until the OSU game. I think we need one for OSU and one for MSU. I may be wrong and often am but it seems like we did not have the energy last nigt. think we have now shown that when you treat your rivalry games like regular games you get beat more often than not. It's time to respect the rivalries.

Shut up about class OP. He fucking owns us plain and simple. He can say whatever the hell he wants. And he should get satisfaction out of this, it keeps his career going. That throwback screen for their second touchdown yesterday was a brilliant call and perfectly executed.

Dantonio won the conference in year 4. If Harbaugh doesnt win the big ten this year or next then it is safe to say Dantonio is a superior coach.

Dude has won the B1G how many times?

Beaten OSU multiple times

Won the Rose Bowl

Playing in the MF Playoffs?

With all the supossed disadvantages that being MSU brings with it (resourcess, talent pool, etc.)

Newsflash, Harbaugh hasn't even proved he's better than Franklin yet.

The if is if Harbaugh can somehow coach his way out of this cesspool of an offense we have and win a championship either this year or next.  My hunch is that we end up like 2013 and lose to all the teams with a pulse on our schedule and Harbaugh decides that a reunion with Luck in Indy is a better future.  I think he thrives on being viewed as a "savior" and let's be honest.  The shine has worn off and the grace period is over.  He is going to start getting some deserved criticism from the fanbase and I don't think his ego can handle it.  Better to jump to Indy and be welcomed to town as the messiah and deal with grumbling Michigan fans.

Thug coach, running a thug program with thug players and thug fans. Everytime Mork and his thug as players and fans open their mouths proves our point they will always be little brother and that our university is vastly superior.

GTFO with this.  Our leading receiver in this game was convicted of a FELONY over the summer.  I'm as pissed as anyone at our showing last night, but stop this nonsense.  If we want to turn the tide in this rivalry, we need to start taking this game as seriously as MSU does.  Duh, Dantionio takes personal satisfaction in winning year after year.  I'd take personal satisfaction in sending him into retirement after going 0-4 against us.

The Barwis Effect

And why wouldn't you encourage it? U-M has proven time and time again that they're unable to make MSU pay for playing thug ball. Good on MSU for exploiting U-M's weakness and making them bow down, not only on the scoreboard but in the physicality department year after year after year.
