That's incorrect.

You clearly don't hang around too many OSU fans. Most of us expect him to get back in the game. What we're most concerned about is, if he does get back into coaching, the possibility of taking the infrastructure we have with him to his new destination. Coach Mick, Pantoni, et all would be a setback.

Would some lose their shit? Sure. But most of us aren't that naive.

Good try though Joe Dirt.

The problem is that the Cowboys play in a division with the Redskins and Giants. Even the Eagles are trying to lose that division. The Cowboys might make the playoffs with a losing record this year.

To see him really get crushed he'd have to go to Washington and reunite with Haskins.

and quarterbacks to run it.

That's the tricky part. Lamar Jacksons don't grow on trees. You have to find someone who is both fast and durable, able to pass but, make reads, and is either on a rookie contract or willing to get paid much less than pocket passers. The interesting thing with Jackson is whether the Ravens will be able to invest in him come contract time. There's a reason RBs get paid so little and have the shortest careers.

Personally, I think if the Ravens are smart they'll run Jackson into the ground until his contract is up and then start over with a new QB. It's fucked up, but I can't see Jackson getting away with this style of play for a long term NFL career. There's a reason RBs have such short NFL careers. He might be a unicorn like Frank Gore, but that's a scary thing to invest top-tier QB money into.

Urban is a really smart guy (“smart” does not make one “wise” or “ethical”) and I suspect he would work hard and adapt his offense to the NFL. Whether he’d run into other issues is a separate question.

TBH I would think Lincoln Riley is a better candidate and worth the hire if Jones wants to go that way, though.

The problem with Dallas in the future is the price they’ll have to pay their top guys. Dak will get his record-setting deal, though I’m not sure if that counts against next year or if it’s just an extension after his rookie deal. Cooper is a free agent and they desperately need him back, and he’ll get paid top WR money.  Then you have Zeke eating a nice chunk of that cap when a lot of teams have productive backs on rookie deals. Jaylen Smith got a big contract and he’s got some weaknesses in his game, at least that’s what the “experts” say,

I think the team was set up to win this year, and it’s only going to get more difficult moving forward.

Once he finds out the players are already paid, dont have to play school, and drive brand new sports cars he will decline.

Would be fun to watch them go against the Xiladelxhia Eagles tho.

I don't think he would take another College job but he just might not be able to resist Jerry Jones' desperate ass throwing cash at him.

Or, he says he is interested to get more money out of Fox.
