Coaches Poll - Holding @ 3, margin to OSU grows by 6 points
November 13th, 2022 at 2:30 PM ^
Just 13 days until a most meaningful reset.
November 13th, 2022 at 2:31 PM ^
I'm curious where our lone 1st place vote came from?
November 13th, 2022 at 2:39 PM ^
Michigan’s Head Cheerleader
November 13th, 2022 at 2:46 PM ^
Is that true? Because that kind of homerism would make me so happy.
November 13th, 2022 at 3:07 PM ^
No clue. His name jumped off the list for me as the most likely Wolverine fanboy.

November 13th, 2022 at 3:23 PM ^
I think we can safely eliminate Mel Tucker and James Franklin lol
November 13th, 2022 at 4:56 PM ^
Tucker sure, but Franklin might consider the Michigan team that whipped his to be #1.
November 13th, 2022 at 7:03 PM ^
And Narduzzi
November 13th, 2022 at 4:23 PM ^
Maybe Jedd Fisch?
November 13th, 2022 at 4:59 PM ^
Paul Chryst's vote get transferred to his replacement?
November 13th, 2022 at 6:24 PM ^
Does Scott Frost still get a vote even after he’s been fired?
November 13th, 2022 at 7:03 PM ^
Herm Edwards FTW!
November 13th, 2022 at 2:31 PM ^
If Tennessee and USC lose another game, there’s a pretty good path for Michigan to make the playoff with a very close loss to OSU. Not that I’m predicting or expecting that to happen.
November 13th, 2022 at 2:40 PM ^
Tennessee is unfortunately not losing again
November 13th, 2022 at 2:43 PM ^
Magnum, wouldn’t it be nice if South Carolina won the next two weeks, OR - if Vanderbilt could end their regular season with a win?
The odds are low, very low - but, you’ve got to hope they can do it…
November 13th, 2022 at 10:43 PM ^
Tenn is in the catbird seat. With their loss they won't have to risk an SEC Championship game.
They will sit with one lose and wait on the osu/UM loser. Trust me they will move up.
November 13th, 2022 at 2:54 PM ^
There's a very solid chance USC loses again. Tenn, less so.
November 13th, 2022 at 5:47 PM ^
Tennessee shouldn't need to lose again. If both Tenn and M are sitting at 11-1 with our loss being a very close loss (say <3 points, or by a TD in overtime) to the #2 team and theirs is a very lopsided loss to the #1 we should still get in. We probably wouldn't. But we should.
November 13th, 2022 at 7:06 PM ^
Barring upset chaos, I think it's going to be 2 B1G and 2 SEC this year.
PAC 12 is imploding and Big 12 & ACC are completely overrated. Lots of people talking shit around these parts about B1G West but B1G West would be competitive with ACC and Big 12 this year.
November 13th, 2022 at 8:01 PM ^
I think TCU is running the table, unfortunately.
November 14th, 2022 at 12:02 AM ^
Ew no, if we lose the game the season is over. Dont care about some espn media bowl or whatever.
November 13th, 2022 at 2:39 PM ^
A small gap between Mich & OSU compared to OSU and UGA. A comfortable gap between Mich & TCU/TN.
We're fine. Nov 26th decides it all.
November 13th, 2022 at 2:53 PM ^
It's 63 points between OSU and UGA. It's 64 points between M and OSU.
November 13th, 2022 at 6:09 PM ^
And 68 between M and TCU.
November 13th, 2022 at 6:41 PM ^
Maybe it'll be 69 next week.
November 13th, 2022 at 2:40 PM ^
Notre Dame rose six spots for beating Navy by three. Lol
November 13th, 2022 at 2:43 PM ^
If the season was 20 weeks long, they would be the inevitable #1.
November 13th, 2022 at 2:48 PM ^
Are you referring to the Midshipmen on Navy - the team with a 3-7 record in the American Athletic Conference?
I hope you realize that three points was the same margin of victory for the Air Force Academy’s win over Navy earlier this season.
November 13th, 2022 at 3:33 PM ^
UCONN>NAVY
Think about that for a second for you OOC schedule folks.
November 13th, 2022 at 7:06 PM ^
you OOC schedule folks.
Cumong man.
Calling out a shit schedule for being a shit schedule and being a fan are not mutually exclusive.
7 of Michigan's opponents thus far have losing records. 2 of which have been permanent residents of the ESPN Bottom 10. <-- UCONN was there too earlier this season.
November 13th, 2022 at 7:40 PM ^
That’s not correct. UConn, Maryland, Iowa, and PSU have winning records and MSU is .500. Five of our ten opponents have losing records, not seven.
Anyway, if UConn (currently 6-5) was in the “Bottom 10,” doesn’t that cast doubt about ESPN’s evaluation?
November 14th, 2022 at 1:16 PM ^
No time for you facts right now we need to push the our worst 3 teams are well below their FBS +2 teams.
November 14th, 2022 at 11:50 AM ^
Not only that but let Navy score 32 on them. Norte Dame is a joke.
November 13th, 2022 at 2:42 PM ^
LSU ahead of Penn State is an absolute joke. Penn State’s 2 losses are to #2 and #3. LSU’s losses are to #5 (by 27 points) and #20. PSU beat Auburn by 29 points. LSU beat Auburn by 4.
November 13th, 2022 at 2:45 PM ^
Gotta prop up that upcoming SEC championship game. It will be #1 Georgia vs #4 LSU by game time.
November 13th, 2022 at 3:15 PM ^
LSU beat Alabama and PSU beat......nobody. Wins have to count for something.
November 13th, 2022 at 4:37 PM ^
Bama is not BAMA this season. Their best win is a 6 point victory over Ole Miss, who has beaten no one.
November 13th, 2022 at 7:10 PM ^
Both of Bama's losses have been on the road to top 10 teams and on the last play of the game and by a combined total of 4 points.
Bama isn't dead.
November 13th, 2022 at 7:39 PM ^
Bama gave up 52 points to TN. The same team was smoked by Georgia and TN looked like Iowa. Bama has not been very good this year.
November 13th, 2022 at 11:14 PM ^
Alabama is nowhere close to what they usually are.
November 13th, 2022 at 11:54 PM ^
True...AND they were losses not wins. Then there's that home game vs TAMU. AND the near loss to Texas who was missing their QB for 2/3 of the game. Are they still very, very talented? Of course, but this is not the same Alabama team as even last year.
November 13th, 2022 at 3:16 PM ^
But LSU also has a marquee win (Alabama). PSU's best win is . . . Purdue?
November 13th, 2022 at 2:45 PM ^
Notre dame moving up 6 after beating Navy by 3 says everything…CFP is all about subjective favorites.
November 13th, 2022 at 3:18 PM ^
Agreed, but the coaches poll really doesn’t really have anything to do with the CFP/Playoff rankings.
November 13th, 2022 at 3:04 PM ^
So TCU eeks by Texas looking not awesome in the process while we hamblast Nebraska, and they *gain* on us in both polls?
Gives me the 1997 shivers.
November 13th, 2022 at 3:35 PM ^
“Just win out and everything will take care of itself.”
UM fans testing fate with their bold statements.
November 13th, 2022 at 3:59 PM ^
Beating a 6-3 Texas team on the road is a decent accomplishment. We're still ahead of them, anyway.
November 13th, 2022 at 6:12 PM ^
So many people were calling Texas to beat TCU so it must mean something
November 13th, 2022 at 7:13 PM ^
And they could of if Texas didn't shit the bed. TCU was vulnerable that game. Their RB kept them in it.
