The two small block Ms that were the same size as the ads at center ice are thankfully no more after one year.

Mel Pearson has brought back the big Block M.

That Block M hasn't been used in years. It was phased out years ago.

It's nice having one Block M across the athletic campus so there's no more confusion what our primary logo is.

It goes beyond that. From the standpoint of intellectual property, what Brandon did makes a lot of sense. Going with the "M" as a letter strengthens and broadens the University's trademark.

More Mizzou than not, to my eye. I was never confused as to whether or not we were talking about Michigan with 3 or 4 variations on a theme. Insisting on one plain maize block M wins points with the HBR/MBA crowd, but decades of the other way didn't seem to dilute "the brand" as much as single icon proponents would have many people believe.

Definitely takes some of the fierceness out of the student section when they're several feet off the glass. I know we need to accomodate ADA requirements, but it would be wise to take that cut of bleachers from another portion of the arena and put the students right on the glass again

Can Mel Pearson rewrite the ADA? That's why the glass seats were eliminated--it was a necessity for making the arena seating accessible and equitable for people with disabilities. In other words, not gonna happen.

B School hockey club had ice every Friday at noon. I lived on McKinley and would walk my goalie gear over each week for the skate. Plus of course an unknown number of drunken late night broomball games played on that ice.

And why has hockey had a dashed center ice line? Anyone? anyone? To differentiate center ice from the blue lines on black and white TV. I do like the Michigan medicine logo without the blue block too.
