Caleb Williams Wins Heisman Trophy
In an unsurprisingly dumb and uncool thing for college sports to produce, we FINALLY have a Heisman winner who paints his nails and doesn't back up his shit talking unless it's against an inferior opponent. What a talent though.
Just shooting from the hip and making a wild and baseless prediction that Williams will transfer this summer, due to his shitty attitude.

He is very lucky that Blake got hurt
December 10th, 2022 at 9:32 PM ^
He's lucky Blake Corum and Hendon Hooker got hurt. It's almost like they had to give it to someone and here's this guy so let's give it to him.
December 11th, 2022 at 9:46 PM ^
Still would have been hard for Blake as the top 6 and 8 of the top 10 vote getters were QBs. They call it an award for the best player but let's be honest - it's all about QBs anymore. Maybe JJ next year ?
December 12th, 2022 at 12:00 PM ^
Hard? Absolutely. But if BC puts up 200 yards and 2 TDs against OSU he would've easily been in the top 3.

And Hooker and Nix

Typical for this board, y’all always see the half-empty glass. Tonight’s winner is the result of Michigan denying CJ Stroud the Heisman he was otherwise easily going to win.
Also, Jim McMahon painted his nails 38 years ago
December 10th, 2022 at 11:52 PM ^
Saw a feature on McMahon a few years back, and he is not doing well. His memory has gotten so bad he needs GPS everywhere, to the point where he could not drive home from even a mile away and know where to go
December 11th, 2022 at 7:08 AM ^
Sounds like McMahon shouldn't be driving at all.
December 11th, 2022 at 1:08 PM ^
Well at least he's driving.
December 11th, 2022 at 7:32 AM ^
Stroud always looks like he is going to cry. Wonder if next years QB will be any tougher and willing to fight when the going gets tough
December 10th, 2022 at 9:31 PM ^
This years Heisman class is like being the skinniest kid at fat camp.

Paints his nails and he has a shitty attitude? Took this Heisman race personally, huh?
December 10th, 2022 at 9:37 PM ^
I'm referring to a specific story where he painted "fuck utah" on his nails before the Pac-12 championship game then his team got their asses kicked, after already getting their asses kicked by them earlier in the year. As another tidbit, when someone in the media recently compared him to Patrick Mahomes, he responded "there's nothing he can do that I can't do."
I think that's a less than admirable attitude, but that's just me.
December 10th, 2022 at 10:57 PM ^
Not to mention he publicly made fun of Max Duggan on Twitter for crying during his press conference after losing to KSU. Williams is just a prick
December 11th, 2022 at 8:48 AM ^
Culture matters.
December 11th, 2022 at 10:43 AM ^
Utah fucked him TWICE! If he won just 1 of those games, they probably would be in the CFP!
December 11th, 2022 at 6:37 PM ^
I don’t think it was Utah as much as whomever coaches tackling for USC. That’s who kept USC out of the playoffs
December 10th, 2022 at 9:34 PM ^
Worst Heisman winner ever...
Made some very athletic plays - but horrible decision making even when they barely won, and sucked when it really mattered.
Corum and Bryce Young clearly best players in CFB.
Fuck Caleb and Stroud - overrated prima donnas!!!
December 10th, 2022 at 9:44 PM ^
“Outstanding performance which best exhibits the pursuit of excellence with integrity”
Total BS. This dude has no integrity (paints F$&@ Utah on his nails and then loses to Utah, twice)
if integrity really mattered, should have gone to the guy delivering turkeys after he got injured. (Corum).
December 11th, 2022 at 10:19 AM ^
Couple other USC winners (if they still had their statues) might want you to hold their beer… or their gloves.
December 10th, 2022 at 9:35 PM ^
One of the more uninspiring Heisman fields in recent memory. A shame Corum got hurt, if he showed out in the last couple games (you know, like Donovan did in his place), he's right there.
December 10th, 2022 at 9:36 PM ^
Meh
Let's talk about next year's Heisman! ESPN puts Donovan on the short list
December 10th, 2022 at 9:40 PM ^
Surprised JJ wasn't on there.
December 10th, 2022 at 10:06 PM ^
UM would need to throw the ball A LOT more then they usually do for JJ to be in the heisman trophy discussion. That's not knocking JJ's talent but QBs that are in the heisman discussion are putting up ridiculous numbers.
I felt like Stetson Bennett kind of got an invite based upon his career but even still, he threw for 3400 yds. JJ threw for 2400 yds (in one less game).
December 10th, 2022 at 10:07 PM ^
He's on a list that 247 put together.
December 11th, 2022 at 12:32 AM ^
Hard to win throwing 13 times a game.
December 11th, 2022 at 8:29 AM ^
It has been a relatively easy 13-0 for Michigan-demolishing the two best teams they have played. This fits into my "outsidethebox" mantra very nicely. You can win 50%, even 75%,of your games by playing well within the confines of "conventional wisdom". Great teams and players excel by knowing how and when to go off-script. Jim Harbaugh knows that, right now, Michigan has to go off-script to beat the schools that recruit like OSU, Georgia and Alabama. Even the talent playing field and Harbaugh's teams can play with anyone.
December 10th, 2022 at 9:41 PM ^
How about JJ as a future candidate? Hell, I would take JJ as my QB v Caleb right now...
December 11th, 2022 at 12:24 AM ^
lol what
December 11th, 2022 at 8:46 AM ^
We will see here...JJ is going to have the opportunity to be in the running. With his loss of an off season to he was about as far behind the 8-ball as a young QB can get-for the current season. With a year as a starter under his belt and an off-season with his coaches and receivers I would expect him to advance his in-game play quite nicely. With is raw physical talent, JJ is already a significant difference-maker. I believe there is a good chance that we will see a Bryce Young and beyond player in JJ next year. He may be so good that Coach loses his mind and has the offense passing up to 30 times a game.
December 11th, 2022 at 11:18 AM ^
The problem is he could be the best QB in the country, but it won't be showcased because of Harbaugh's offense. Nobody is going to vote for a QB to win it if there are 50+ QBs with better stats other than completion percentage.
December 11th, 2022 at 12:33 AM ^
Mike. UM throws 12-15 times a game in non prime time. Meanwhile other programs crap or elite are throwing 30+ a game.
December 10th, 2022 at 9:37 PM ^
Out of those four nominated, he had the best statistics. Also, had a huge improvement in team wins. Think how much better it is that OSU didn't get it.
December 10th, 2022 at 9:43 PM ^
All fair points. The talent is inarguable.
December 10th, 2022 at 9:57 PM ^
Fuck talent. Heart and performance when it matters is what counts! And he showed neither...
December 11th, 2022 at 12:15 AM ^
He played that Utah game on one leg. That's takes a certain amount of heart.
December 11th, 2022 at 12:25 AM ^
Yeah basically had 400 yards that game on one leg, I think that’s a gritty performance.
December 10th, 2022 at 9:37 PM ^
Seems like players from the same 4-5 schools are only allowed to win it. Blah class, congrats I suppose.
December 10th, 2022 at 11:20 PM ^
Very lazy take.
Going back to 2010, the following schools had Heisman winners: Auburn (2010), Baylor (2011), Texas A&M (2012), Florida State (2013), Oregon (2014), Alabama (2015), Louisville (2016), Oklahoma (2017), Oklahoma (2018), LSU (2019), Alabama (2020), Alabama (2021), USC (2022). By my count, that's 10 different schools.
Admittedly, Bama has had 3 winners during that period of time but we all know it had nothing to do with the fact that they also had the best talent, best coaching and most national championships too. Rather, it is clear it had everything to do with the Heisman Trophy Trust / Downtown Athletic Club limiting the winners of the Heisman to particular schools.

Pardon me while I paint F-U-C-K T-H-A-T on my nails
December 10th, 2022 at 9:46 PM ^
It was hard to watch knowing Blake should have been there. He deserved that level of recognition.
December 10th, 2022 at 9:46 PM ^
He’s going to flame out in the NFL. He’s the kind of guy who will start blaming everyone else when his team sucks in the NFL. It’ll be just like Zach Wilson for the Jets. All of his teammates will hate him.
December 10th, 2022 at 10:19 PM ^
Maybe, but hasn't overly hurt that douchebag Aaron Rodgers.
December 11th, 2022 at 12:17 AM ^
If he flames out it will be because he is overly reliant on his legs and can't make the quick read when there is a defender in his face and just takes the sack if he can't run out of there.
December 11th, 2022 at 9:36 AM ^
Yeah, he relies on his legs a lot - way more than an NFL QB should. Even Lamar hangs around more than Williams does... He's gonna get beat the hell up in the NFL.
