Brandon Graham Sets Eagles Record for Games Played

I just saw this on Mike Barwis' Facebook page, but apparently Brandon Graham just set the Eagles' franchise record for games played. Congrats to him! One of the all-time Michigan greats on and off the field.

Of all DL in the NFL, Graham is the third oldest.

DE Calais Campbell (remember him?!) is 37

DT Al Woods is 36

DEs Brandon Graham and Jerry Hughes, and DT Linval Joseph are 35

Remember how Vince Wilfork seemed to stick around the league forever? He was 33 when he retired.

I've mentioned this in other posts about BG, but will note again: he will retire tied (with Brian Dawkins) as the most beloved Eagle in franchise history.

----was a victim of circumstance, starring on UM teams during a bad time for the program

----immediately questioned as a draft pick in front of JPP and Von Miller

----multiple season-ending injuries and DC's (~4 in first 5 years iirc)

----kept positive attitude throughout all of that and became an all-pro

----made most impt play in franchise history with the Brady strip sack (which I still think is clear evidence we live in a simulation, closing the all-UM time loop that started with the Woodson tuck rule sack game).

----is incredibly generous of his time and energy to both Philly and Detroit (side note: went to Eagles-Lions game last year and saw a bunch of kids and adults wearing BG jerseys and asked about it and they said he had all helped them/their families out somehow)

----is also one of the best trash talkers (but in a fun/entertaining way imo) in the league

I really hope that when he hangs it up he can work with UM somehow because I think he is a wonderful ambassador for the school and sport.

Graham is one of my favorite players of all time.

Was really bummed when he got hurt his rookie year with the Eagles and thought they would never get to see how awesome a player he is.  He fought his way back and then some.

Go Blue!
