The biggest comeback in the Harbaugh era positivity thread.

Ok, yea. The first half Michigan looked like garbage. But having a 17 point comeback on the road is nothing to scoff at.

Agree with you!  It was not a fluky game at all.  Being in the stadium, Michigan fans never really seemed to think it would be a loss.  They had control of the game starting in the second quarter but it was a slog to finally take the lead.  To me, that was better for the team's morale than a blowout would have been.  Got punched in the mouth a few times, but came back and kept pushing, despite all the penalties!!  There were a lot of times in the game where Michigan teams past would have folded.

People in the game thread were freaking out. Yes, they came out flat, and yes there were too many penalties.

but college football is survive and advance. One game rarely bleeds into another, whether for better or worse.

So just relax. Have a drink, and enjoy PSU and OSU beating the crap out of each other.

I need a Xanax after that. I don't have any Xanax. I don't even know how you feel after taking one. I just know I need one now.

The game wasn't a work of art but coming back from 17 down has only happened a handful of times in school history.    Like in the NCAA Tournament . . . survive and advance.

I think there is a silver lining to this game. I think they will realize they can't come out flat no matter who they play the rest of the year. Shea saved us the game and I'm really happy he's our QB. Ugly win but thankfull for the win. Go blue.

There are still some significant holes and youth in the team, but they have a lot of talent and they fight hard.

I was impressed with Shea under pressure late in the game.  So many times in the past, M has been burned by QBs with feet who can run.  Its nice to have one of our own under center.  He has a great arm too.

Meh, a win is good. Not every game is going to feel great, but all that matters that that we win on the road.

Also, this is exactly the type of game we’d lose last year. Nice to get a W.

We got some studs on the d line that needed a game to get some confidence in. Dwumfour, Paye, and uche definitely got that tonight.

Compared to previous comebacks of 17 points, this one was probably the least ugly all around, if you can believe it.

For 1995 Virginia, we left points on the field before the 4th quarter and missed what were normally easy field goal attempts by Remy Hamilton.

For 2003 Minnesota, we gave up a school record 400+ rushing yards.

For Braylonfest against Sparty, we waited until 7 minutes were left in the game before finally throwing the damn ball.

Tonight, there was no turnovers and a dominant second half on defense.  But too many penalties, incompetent officiating and putrid offense in the first half.

Fantastic performance by the D in the second half and an outstanding comeback by the offense, no matter how brutally hard the shithole refs made it.

This team will have to play very well to beat the best teams on its schedule. But with that defense and that quarterback, they have a chance to have a very good season. If the OL can improve......

They shouldn’t have been in the position to come back from 17. The offense is dated and needs a ton of work if they want to be able to even compete with good teams moving forward.
