Bediako picks Bama
Michigan was in contention at one point for the 4 star big man
Barely knew ya Charles.
I'd rather him at Alabama than Duke. Good luck to the kid.
I hope he can shoot 3s. That's the only way to see the floor there.
they do a bit close to the basket as well. Just no mid-long range 2's. Ever. You instantly owe back all your scholarship money if your toe is on the line. They prefer the 30-footer to the 18 footer
They talked about this during their game against UCLA. Nate Oats is big on analytics and wants either 3s or layups, nothing else.
His brother Quaker is trying to change his mind.
His other brother Hall simply can't go for that
No can do!
I believe his name is actually Holland Oats.
Apparently making free throws are frowned upon too

But only on drives, dive cuts and put-backs. I don't recall them running anything resembling a low-post, back-it-in. Lots of motion and driving/kick-outs.
I read somewhere (maybe here) that in practice scrimmages, midrange 2s are only worth 1 point.
Word is he wanted Michigan, but only if Hunter Dickinson was leaving. Probably sees that isn't happening and doesn't want to be a back-up to him. Can't fault him for that.
Fire Juwan!
Will be fun to watch this career unfold. Hope the best for him
Da'Shawn Hand, Damien Harris, Najee Harris now Charles Bediako........
Based on Howard's experience with finding the right big last year, I feel good about where the roster lands this year.
And, I hate losing to Bama. Eff them.
Is there anybody you don't hate losing to?
you think they're bad..... how about the bruins?
This isn't like that. We landed our top priority at center (Moussa Diabaté) in the fall. Bediako was the Plan B if we had missed him.
and the first three were football players.... My comment was largely in jest. Juwan's recruiting is doing just fine.
Nah, kid. This ain't that.
Must have liked that earthquake simulator.
This isn't really bad news. He isn't coming because we already have two stud big men (Dickinson and Diabate) in the ranks.
not surprised.
Bama was always leading his recruitment and Michigan's class is pretty big
$EC basketball bagging catching up with football. Nice.
Juwan told him Chet is coming so they didn’t have room for him
No biggie. But Michigan will want to get at least one studly big man in 2022. 2 would be even better.
I think M is still in it for Efton Reid (sp?) who is also on the IMG “graduate” team with Bediako. I believe Reid is more in the Dickinson mold while Bediako is closer to Diabate’s game so maybe we can sell him on a growing role as the backup 5 in year one while we transition Diabate toward the 4 role with John’s.
I doubt we get Reid either unless he is willing to wait to be “the man” until his 2nd year..... but one of his other likely destinations is OSU which I would prefer did not happen.
FWIW My other fantastic idea is to convince Chet that he can come to M as me of the only schools that will allow him to play the 4 in college. Please feel free to subscribe to my newsletter for more of these “gems”.
Pretty expected. However, after watching Alabama in the tourney, idk how well he really fits in with Bama’s offense
He plans on hanging around the basket looking for slop to jam.
He may be in the portal this time next year and we might actually have a spot opening up at that time. Moussa is probably a one and done and I expect Hunter to tear it up next year and declare for the NBA. Even if Moussa stays, we could still use him.
Bama has the #3 class now, Bediako is more or less a 5 star and they already had the top PG, and #2 JUCO player signed up
