The group who lays claim for all of Bama's success (SEC is awesome, have you seen all of our National Championships?) Is now saying Bama (Read the SEC somehow) is giving Harbaugh a taste of his own medicine.  Never mind it's SMSB which means Saban will get lost in the crowd of other A-list names.  SEC rules and will now teach Harbaugh a lesson on why he shouldn't fight for kids visibility.

I concur.  The comments/board has gone downhill since the "old days."  Yes I am a cranky old fart.  I miss the actual conversations.  Its now filled with the snarky and the "clever" whose claim to fame is they "dominated" a thread.  I keep telling myself that once you hit the bottom of the page you enter the sewer.  I am not sure why I scrolled, logged in or took the time to type this much.  Its written down now so I might as well hit enter and get back to work and living a real life.  Maybe I will shower first...

The best part is the banner behind him, "People of Compassion". I wonder if he got invited because of the time he literally stepped over and ignored a seizing player on the Dolphins because the captain of the ship "cannot show any weaknesses".

Hilarious.

Some helpful advice for Alabama:

Here is a list of all of the major banks in the Detroit area.  When your Bagmen come up here, they will want to make deposits in the local banks so as to avoid suspicion.

You're welcome.

That's pretty funny since the co-founder is on the MSU staff and MSU hired the guy to get a leg up on the local kids there.  Now this has turned into a Harbaugh camp that Alabama is moving in on.

Sounds like the only children hurt by this are the MSU coaching staff.

All Alabama did was call up to the SMSB director and tell them that they are coming, right? Its not like Alabama's staff had to do any coordinating or extra work, right? Just show up and smile at the recruits, there isn't even room to actually coach them. Good work Saban, way to establish yourself in Harbaugh Territory! I dont know why Alabama wouldnt set up camps specifically hosted by them at DCC and CT if they really wanted to get back at Harbaugh, oh wait, yes I do, because that would require actual work. Saban is still a lazy POS.

I wrote that under the assumption that they are trying to "get back" at Harbaugh, which is a failed attempt if this is all they are doing. If they really wanted to get back at him they could camp at our high schools. I agree that there is no need, although we did get Dawson and a few others over them from our home state in the past.

I'm secretly hoping that the SEC and ACC coaches who participate in these camps phone it in and inadvertantly give a bad look to their school and conference.  I recall a couple years ago a Michigan coach calling out an OSU coach at SMSB for not coaching everyone the same and giving the highly rated guys preferential treatment.  If Saban shows up and doesn't give much coaching effort while just talking to the top recruits it might actually hurt his image more than helping it.

So many face palms.

First of all, Harbaugh has said from the beginning that any coach (regardless of conference) should be welcome at any camp. That's not giving him a taste of his own medicine.

Secondly, and I still can't believe they refuse to understand this, there are a ton of coaches that have always supported satellite camps. AND Harbaugh was not the first coach to start them. If Harbaugh wasn't doing them, the other coaches would be. Again, that's not giving someone a taste of their own medicine.

Is there a pollution problem down south that screws with their minds? Are these people born with fewer chromosomes?

Urban Meyer, Hoke, Harbaugh, Dantonio, Les Miles, etc. Now they are even planning on expanding SMSB to other locations. I'm pretty sure Saban and his staff have always been welcome up there. They may even get a few recruits by attending, but this is really much ado about nothing.

It's possible that he may come up here and steal a future Desmond King from Iowa.  I'm sure that there's a kid or two in the state that we may undervalue that Saban might feel could be an All-American.  And instead of the usual B1G option, a not-so-far SEC option may open up.

The B1G footprint expands over 1000 miles now, so the difference between here and Iowa City or Lincoln is negligible compared to Knoxville or Tuscaloosa.  If a parent can fly or drive to Nebraska, Alabama or Georgia is not the big a difference.

As Michigan alumn and fans, we officially welcome you back to Michigan.  You have always been welcomed here, even though you ran away several years ago because you couldn't compete with us then.

A few notes for your trip:

1.  You won't have to make excuses when you leave this time.  We're used to it.

2.  It gets all the way down to the 80's at night here so you should pack your jammies.

4.  You might want to invest in a Alabama-to-English dictionary.

5.  Be prepared to work.  You know; do coach like things.

6.  There will be many MSU fans here to welcome you.  Learn to duck.

7.  Jim's been expecting you - see #5 above.

8.  We already hate the color scarlet, so don't take that personally.

9.  You can't compete with us now either.

10.  Go Blue

So they come up here and attend the camp... So what. Nobody out works Harbaugh and staff. They are just playing catch up. You'd better believe by the time these other schools jump on the satellite camp train Michigan will be onto the next loophole. Harbaugh changes the game.

Bama . Of course you are welcome to come. You always have been and no one is worried about your showing up. You do realize you have had kids from Michigan before ( e.g. Ingram) and no one in Michigan complained, right? You are just dumb and jealous but still welcome.

Will the bagmen cometh?

If they are then I'm totally an under the radar 5* HS recruit.

Or my fictitious son is, whichever is more believable.  Daddy needs a new car.

Welcome to Michigan Mr. Saban! There are some talented kids around here and we are hopeful that they will have the choice of opportunities from all around the nation.

Maybe, eventually Alabama fans will realize that this is EXACTLY what Harbaugh wants. Level the playing field and give kids more choices. Harbaugh will continue to welcome any and all comers (see Georgia and Mississippi camps). All he asks for is reciprocity.
